Being bred on Ruthless Aggression era rasslin, watching MCMG for the first time was truly mind blowing. Aside from watching them on TNA, they used to come around to steal shows at a Detroit/Windsor promotion called Border City Wrestling. I legitimately never saw a duo so quick, technical, and cohesive at the time. It hard to believe that they began as singles stars! These two were a match made in heaven. 👉🖐

They tried pushing the Guns in late 07 and early 08, in a 6 man tag at the Against All Odds ppv both guys were told to "blade" and both guys refused which saw them get reduced TV time and put on a losing streak after. In other words the Guns got punished for refusing to self mutilate. Pathetic on TNA's part.

😂😂😂😂 TNA is an excellent example of why wrestlers especially ex wwe famous wrestlers should never be allowed into the booking room. It was Hulk Hogan Bash at The Beach all over again times a 100. The whole main event mafia storyline was "we're more famous ex wwe B list celebrities so we have a monopoly over the main event and world championship booking". Guys like Hogan,Angle,Steiner and the others completely buried the younger guys. Meanwhile the guys who were the workhorses like AJ Styles,Samoa Joe,Christopher Daniels,Motorcity Machine Guns,Generation ME(Young bucks 😂😂) and Frankie Kazarian were stuck in the under card or midcard with the X division title to fight over. It essentially came down to guys like Hogan again flexing their egos and burying young guys to make themselves look good.

The main issue with MCMG was Chris Sabin missed 2 years. He tore his acl, missed a year, and then tore it again his first match back. It's really sad but, when he came back at least he got a singles push and was the champ. But yeah. MCMG is the team that the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega took everything from. Your average wrestling fan probably won't realize it either. But they were 2 of the most innovating wrestlers of all time!

Motor City Machine guns have got to be my favourite in ring tag team of all team everything they did was so fluid, quick and looked amazing. Thinking back on just how amazing the tag division was in TNA back then having Beer Money, Team 3D, LAX and MCMG all in the same company at the same time was amazing and i wish we got more of those 4 teams battling it out to be the best over the Main event mafia stuff because as entertaining as Booker, Steiner and Nash are they just couldn't go in the ring so all they had in ring wise was Kurt and sting. Feels like thats the tale of TNA though all the talent in the world wasted to push established ex wwe guys.
