definitely make the intro more of a build up cos its a bit plain also mess around with the bass instrument it just sounds a bit weird. another thing is that the melodys synth is a bit ear piercing but that could just be a me thing

The beginning sounds too empty I think; it probably needs more instruments. Also, when the lead synth kicks in around 0:22, it sounds very loud all of a sudden (volume might just be to high). I think if you added basic drums or sfx or *something* at the beginning that lets it build up a little bit, it would sound a lot better. The intro loops twice without changing, so you *could* add extra little things the second time it loops to keep it interesting. But this is just my advice and overall, I think it sounds pretty good, especially towards the end. I really like the lead and drums. Keep up the good work !!¡¡!¡!!¡!!!¡¡!¡¡¡!!!!!!

Sfx. Needs a "3, 2, 1, go!" Before the drop

The usage of the “light cycle” and “modern r&b lead” kinda clash with each other. I’d recommend replacing one or both with alchemy synth patch(es)

It sounds great so far! I think a few good tweaks could be adding some drums after the drop (maybe add a roll of some sort right before the drop to make it feel more natural), and the drop itself could use a fuller, deeper bass and some quiet pads with the chords in the background :)) Also, I love the funky sound of the synths you picked, but I do agree with another comment that they sounds a little out of place how they are. Some good fixes could be making one of them quieter or swapping them out for other fitting synths. Of course, it’s all up to you! Good luck, and let me know if you want any more specific tips, I have a LOT of experience with GarageBand :D

i think the beginning needs some high hats back and forth to add interest and the rest maybe some added sound effects pulled/sampled from video games or something with a similar sound? Or if you’re going for more of a breakcore sound some more high hats or digital drums towards the end/drop I also think it could benefit from being a bit longer with a key change to something deeper before returning to its original sound? I’m not a musician and don’t know shit about the terminology honestly but that’s my advice lol

From what little information I’ve absorbed from my partner’s interest in beatmaking I can say that the audio mixing sounds a little off. Perhaps raising the volume of those lower tones and generally fiddling with the eqs could help? Also, to keep you from having to mess with the mute buttons during recording, you could hit that + and make a copy of what you’ve already got in a second section, then leave it muted in the first but unmuted in the second. And to view both at once there should be a button for all sections. Idk how much you know about GarageBand but I figured I’d throw it out there

I really like the arrangement, but there's something wrong with the volume on the opening tracks. It sounds like something is ducking the audio so it doesn't clip. My advice would be to use a spectrogram to see where this might be happening. I suspect it's on the low end. I'm gonna subscribe though coz I really wanna hear this song when it's cleaned up! Good work so far!

Check the notes, especially in the low-end, to make sure nothing clashes (i.e. dissonants). The low-end is too muddy, so check if different midi regions ever hit notes too close to each other. I would also work on mixing more. Drums can be more punchy, etc. Otherwise it's pretty good.

I love this! The only thing I would suggest is adjusting the double drum beat that starts things off. I’m having trouble placing it but it sounds like there’s and extra beat that for lack of a better description felt like a “speed bump” in the beat
@MitchellOethMusicАй бұрын
sounds great already! When I heard that phrygian intro, my mind went to phonk, but I like the more chill dnb direction you took it. I agree with some of the other comments. I think it needs compression mainly, but all the compositional elements are there. Idk how you do compression in garageband, but the drums could hit harder and the other instruments could be tighter. Its funny though how the decision to compress things like this can still be a creative one bc sometimes you don't want your beat to hit as hard as possible. Right now though, your mix blends into itself well enough, but its lacking the punch/clarity that you'd get through compression, if that's what you want.
