late reply, but while Blinding Lights is his bigger streaming hit, The Hills had radio play like crazy. The Hills was able to spread to people to who weren't yet using spotify in the mid 2010s, so The Hills might have had more reach than Blinding Lights. just something people don't often consider, because the weeknd really came around right during the transition period from radio play to streaming.

As far as I know, the scream in the Song was actually a Fan screaming as the song was originally not used but they later added it after Hearing the video both the People at their live concerts took which had the scream of one of the viewers in it. After thinking it sound nice they later added it before releasing it because they performed it before publishing it.

This was honestly really good!!! However my one thing I would say is that using that chorus plugin didn’t come out until recently and just because he uses it now doesn’t mean it was available but in 2015. There’s an article on Sound on Sound of his breakdown of what he used for all his plug-ins on this particular song on each channel or track. It’s pretty cool. Back then it became my list on plug-ins I felt I needed to purchase haha. Great stuff man!
