In Kargil war, one mig crashed inside Pakistan (no surprises) and PAF shot down another Mig looking for the first one. PAF lost none. To summarize- in response to Balakot, immediately the day after Pakistan sends a strike package of 24 fighters! They fly in 4km inside the LOC, drop bombs and leave. Abhinandan goes chasing after them chivalrously in his mig-21, gets his jet blown to smithereens, gets beaten up by Pakistani locals, is taken into custody of the PAF, has some coffee, gets comfortably hosted and even responsibly escorted back to his own country by the same PAF, who he went chasing after in the first place! Geez this is so embarrasing it is not even funny!

Mam, a Marine Engineer here. I sail on ships, Tankers to be specific. Any aircraft or a ship has a life span, say 25-35 years, beyond which the hull/ air frame is subjected to shear and wear and tear. The aircrafts face it even more because of the high supersonic speeds and the G pulls that they perform. After midlife, they do get upgrade, but mostly the avionics, engines, and the weapon package, the airframe gets very less to none of the upgrades. We have had our own share of delays due to budget constraints, sanctions, dependence on foreign suppliers, lack of optimum indigenous R&D establishment, and limitations of the production facilities. The development of an aircraft is a long, tedious, and difficult task. Also, the constant changes in the ASQR, Air Staff Quality Requirements make it difficult for the organizations like the DRDO, ADA and HAL to finish the projects on time. Attitude of these organizations also create a distrust between the forces and these organizations. Somehow we are catching up, but again we have a long way to go. Let's hope for the best and pray that we don't loose our capabilities, our pilots and our aircrafts in the future. Best regards. Jai Hind 🇮🇳

IAF said they destroyed their own helicopter with 7 officers on board. Thats the state of panic of IAF. Its called lack of professionalism.
