I read Carr's book a few years ago and it totally changed my perspective regarding my internet habits and its use as a whole. Since then I have tried to consider it as a tool, and avoid the black hole of its addictive nature. His book was recommended reading upon its release, and is today essential at a time when our grasp on our intellectual prowess, and indeed our humanity, is at stake., especially when one considers the exponential growth of AI.

Well said. We took so much from our conversation with him. Even trying not to get excited about getting new tech infront of our kids or putting too much weight on how much we enjoy social media.

I believe he has a book that will be published next year titled 'Superbloom' or something like this. Jaron Lanier, Joscha Bach, Tristan Harris, and even a guy name Mark Boyle have really clear insight on these topics of technology, A.I., the Internet and how it's disconnect humans from being human beings. Instead, we're stuck in mind, thought, psyche, persona, personality, people. When we're simply just humans. Great talk, here. Thanks for asking him really unique questions regarding this topic.

If your life is fun and exciting, social media is great. But if your life isn’t fun and exciting and you’re watching everyone else have fun, social media is awful.

And too much screen time is exhausting. I wonder if it has a negative effect on our whole body. Yet try getting off it! It’s extremely difficult to not look at a screen these days.

My final little comment, apologies! There’s simply something wrong with all technology. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something wrong with all of it. It helps us but takes things away from us too.
