Conservationist Paul Rosolie co-leads a non-profit deep in the Madre de Dios region of the Peruvian Amazon. Conserving forests beyond where law enforcement is willing to travel can be dangerous work. However, Rosolie and his team successfully recruit former loggers to be conservation rangers, provide alternative income streams for communities, and manage to attract millions of dollars in funding.
Today, this Indigenous-led non-profit is responsible for protecting 55,000 acres of rainforest. In this podcast episode, Rosolie shares his recipe for conservation success and what he thinks other conservation organizations should focus on.

thanks to paul's recent popular podcasts, i became really captivated by learning about the amazon, and read his book -- i just wish environmentalists spent a little more time telling adventure stories and explaining the incredible biodiversity, scale, geology, peoples, and everything that makes this ecosystem so special -- that's what has me hooked

Don't do much research you will find even the environmentalists are exploiting the amazon for profit. You can't even find a volunteer program down there fhat doesn't want a 1k a week, imagine volunteering and having to pay to help lol its literally a cash cow and folks like Paul might care but trust me he is getting rich off it as well if he wasn't he wouldn't be there
