Here were my favorites: *Decide once - decision fatigue *Stop judging others *Batching *Manage Your Energy over Time - as a morning person focus on getting more done *community matters - let people in even if it’s not perfect (connecting & spending time with people is important to me) *flexibility in communication with girlfriends where we share little voice notes / texts to still feel love without taking too much time *embracing your style - in your home & personal style *honoring the season you’re in *focus on essentials *instead of smart goals which can feel overwhelming like it’ll never get done, tiny ridiculous actions - no brainer so small and tiny tasks that are more attainable, and you’re able to stay consistent which motivates you like journaling a page a day vs one sentence a day OR setting 5 minutes to do it vs an hour

Start your day with prayer, meditation connect to the Universe Creator. He is the best planner. Rely on him not on people. It will help at focusing in what really matters❤

@@amelsabri469 Amen. I agree 100% that we need to rely on God AND we should also lean and rely on people too. God wants us to connect and experience deep relationships not just with Him but with each other. He has inspired people to create tools, systems and processes that can help us find our way back to Him and each other and for that, I am grateful.

@@anna-lenameijer9942 Anna, I am going to leave this comment here because it's a great representation of what we DON'T want to do as a community. I believe empathy can take us a long way as mothers because at the end of the day, none of us is perfect. Blessings to you 💛

@@anna-lenameijer9942 you're not wrong about that. I just always like to give people especially mothers grace and then start to make the plan. This is so great. As soon as you said you were judging other families for tv and video games during the week. I was wondering about my choices. Then I remembered they make great grades, play multiple sports and are growing and thriving in a very healthy and obvious way. It’s totally true, no need to judge a family’s choices if all is well with their children.

another aproach would be to decide making cakes more often having spend all that money for the stuff to make them. at least for people who dont dislike the process of making one and maybe even enjoy it. since self made cakes are pretty distinguishable in my experience from bought ones and also of course much more special. it also depends on the people who the cake is for, if they appreaciate a self made cake as it should be or if they dont really care that much. I think it can definetly be worth the effort.

I 100% agree with this. I am passionate about women making the choices that feel right based on their own values and preferences. It's interesting to me that she titled her book "lazy" and "genius" because I think these are very basic common sense ideas that apply to any person, whether they think of themselves as productive or lazy or average-intelligence or genius. It seems to me the central theme (as far as I can tell is) be know thyself (be honest with oneself) and then be thyself. Pay attention to who you really are, and live according to YOU simply and honestly given your circumstances, energy, time constraints, etc. I don't see anything "lazy" or "genius" about those things; however, to be fair, I haven't read the book.
@thewellthymama
@thewellthymama Жыл бұрын
Madeline, while I agree the central theme is all about knowing yourself and living authentically, that is so much easier said than done. Some of us were never taught to think in this way in the first place, some of us forget and needed a reminder and the rest of us know what to do in theory but appreciate ways to spark our own creative problem solving. The fact that Kendra Adachi was able to find the right words to inspire action in so many overwhelmed and tired women is exactly what being a lazy genius is about. I do think it's worth a read. My assessment of it may not have done the book justice. Let me know if you do!
