I did love the Captain Marvel movie, but they really went for the "she's a no-nonsense badass" in that movie, while most stuff in the MCU is more light-hearted and fun. So maybe that's why it felt off-putting. But Brie Larson absolutely have a comedic side to her, she can be as light and fun as anyone else, so I'm glad they went for the more classical MCU vibe in this one.

Nope. _The Marvels_ takes place after the _Secret Invasion_ show. Not only was this confirmed by Samuel L. Jackson, but the ending of _Secret Invasion_ has Fury go back to space because the Kree and Skrulls are doing a peace talk. We see that peace talk in this movie.

G'iah was not there because the writers f up and committed a continuity gaffe they can't explain in universe. Also overall it seems clear Marvel will just ignore that show moving forward. They couldn't even remember skrulls were being persecuted by the American president when they asked Valkyrie to bring them there. The show and the film fully contradicts each other like the creative teams didn't know what each other was doing.

2:36 No, I'm sorry, but that's not a valid criticism of any Marvel story. Another superhero failing to show up to help out whenever the main character is in danger isn't a plot hole. Daredevil has a lot of villains, and he was likely fighting with them. Or he was busy working on another case. He is a lawyer, too, you know. Matt Murdock making a cameo appearance in NWH out-of-costume did not foreshadow Daredevil appearing later on. The same can be said anytime someone asks, "Where were the Avengers?" whenever a supervillain threatens a city. They have their own bad guys to deal with. I notice that it only seems to be movie goers that make this argument. When I read an X-Men comic, I never asked myself, "Where is Spider-Man in this story?", despite the comic books also existing in a shared universe.

The whole point of solo or certain group movies is that you establish that they can be brought down and then overcome things without there being an run in by people to show up to save the day at the end. It's like they've never read books, especially comics. KZbinrs need to have everything explained in details. That's why you're never satisfied and complaining about things not making sense. Comic book readers understand that in a universe of thousands of planets heroes are dealing with their own villains and situations. It's not a failure on the movie or tv shows but a failing on the reactors. FF, X-Men, avengers are dealing with their own world conquerors and grounded heroes are dealing with their own villains. I don't get what's hard to understand about that. That's like expecting every terror attack to be handled by the same people every time when there's hundreds of attacks happening all around the country or world. I personally like it when movies don't have to handhold you through everything.its expecting you to understand that if certain people aren't there to save the day that they're probably doing something else to save the day in another part of town or state,world or even galaxy.

I think one of the reasons the first captain Marvel movie did so well was timing. It followed Infinity War and people were desperate for any new content. The new film followed a bunch of underwhelming movies that have left people a bit jaded.

I think the reason that sites like HISHE are losing views is that everyone watches the videos via all the reactions to it. It’s not like a TV show or movie where there is much more to see of the original outside the reaction, you get the complete video here. Opening a video again just to up vote it is just not gonna happen on a large scale. What is needed is a button/function on a KZbin video that you can click to up the original also while you watch the reaction to it 🤨

I would bet on something else, really. Their number one thing from which they make content is superhero movies. Now much less people have been watching these movies. So less people even get recommended to their channel due to the algorithm not having as much traction for superhero movies as it did back in P1 through P3 of the MCU. Also, I feel less people have been watching movies in general. All I hear when people talk about content they watch is series. I've been seeing a lot of content for reaction of old movies too. But for current movies, nowhere as much as during the 2000s and 2010s.

I'm gonna copy/paste what I said on your CineDesi upload of this video: Daredevil not being in the final NWH fight is not at all comparable to them not calling Valkyrie to Bifrost the people on the ship to Earth. The audience who only watch the movies wouldn't know that Peter's lawyer is Daredevil. They know he's got something the way he caught the brick, but not enough to be like "then this guy's gonna show up to the final battle, right?" ALSO the reason the villains showed up is because Peter said on the news that he's at the Statue of Liberty. Lizard swam there, Sandman soared through the sky as a sand cloud, and Green Goblin and Electro flew. Doc Ock can't do that, so he got to the battle pretty late. Daredevil doesn't watch TV, but even if he heard the news, how would he cross the lake to the Statue of Liberty? Ferry's not operational at that hour. He is impaired after all.

I mean, it would be great, it would also drive the budgets *way up* , and sometimes it's more entertaining to watch a bunch of heroes struggle to win, instead of having Captain Marvel, Thor or Iron Man to come and save the day. With that said, in the MCU they've already done a lot to include as many characters in every movie as possible since Disney bought everything and they had the rights to everyone again. And the next few years are gonna be insane with cameos of X-Men and other characters I think. But if they overdo it things could get predictable and boring.

I think Carol Danvers was just written less stoic and interacting with the others gave a more rounded personality. Give the right script and Brie Larson can be fun. Possibly the first film Marvel was way too concerned on being a "serious film" since it was their first female lead. That being the box office difference between the two is brutal. I wasn't taken by this one but neither thought the first one was any masterpiece as films go they kinda even out to me. Only superhero films being in a low turn and the marvel brand damaged to justify this.

It should have ended in the 60s -- someone should have convinced the lawyers at Marvel not to grab the lapsed Captain Marvel copyright, not to rape the memory of the greatest superhero of all time, and not to create any of these abominable and inexcusable characters. Having Woman lead the movie is the least problem "The Marvels" has . The best and ONLY good thing about it was Iman Vellani . Almost every problem in this movie solvable in 10-15 minutes if they weren't being dumb . The villain is damn forgettable(movie and comics) even after Dar benn was gender swapped nothing changed . The movie is mediocre/Below AVG that's it and it doesn't help that the script has been changed multiple times and mashed together some part of it ,which is why some plot points go nowhere or seem odd

They lost me at Dr Strange and Multiverse of Madness. That's a movie that I liked, but simultaneously, hated. The action was fine, the film was entertaining, it had some really cool elements. But it just became clear that Marvel has no overarching vision, which i was expecting. They assassinated Wanda's character, she is irredeemable to me, and that's just sad. They played around with the multiverse in a really stupid way. They made one of the OG's (dr. strange) super incompetent and I'm just not with that bullshit. After that, i just can't look at everything since with a clear vision anymore, im jaded. Any goodwill they still had was burned in the very first scene of the new Thor, as well. I'm so checked out, I haven't even watched Antman or the Marvels. They only way the come back is to inject some competence on the team (from Men AND Women), to narrow the scope of the story so I know what year and what earth we are dealing with, to put some gravitas back into the movies, and I wouldn't mind if they killed off the Hulk because no one has been a bigger disappointment and he hasn't provided value since Ragnarak.

I actually enjoyed The Marvels & felt it was a better film than Eternals, Thor 4, & Ant-Man 3 since the story while not long was fine, it had decent jokes, multiple good fight scenes, & the 3 actresses did a good job together.

Omg I used to love Bad Lip Reading videos, but haven't thought about them in a long while. Same with Rap Battles Of History (or whatever it's called), I only recently rewatched a couple of them. Trends come and go, and it's sad because the content is usually as fun and enjoyable as it used to be. And you actually enjoyed The Marvels? I was avoiding those videos because I was so tired of everyone's online negativity towards one of the movies I've enjoyed the most these past 2 years. lol But as you said, most of the people that actually bothered to watch the movie, enjoyed it. And as Iman Vellani said, it's not up to them to make the movie a box office hit, that's up to whomever is running Disney right now (she mentioned him by name but I don't remember the guy xd).

I honestly love The Marvels. It’s the type of MCU movie I had been waiting for, that and Loki, so getting both at the same time was great.

Let's face it: reaction channels like yours are one of the reasons why other channels are hemorrhaging viewers. When people watch this HISHE video here with you instead of the actual HISHE channel they obviously miss out on those views. If you want to truly support their channel you need to stop reacting to their full videos and just give them a shout-out here and there. Sad but true.
