Chad was a great instructor at the Patreon class. All I hear in my head is Chad telling me “ how many times do I have to tell you, look at the space where you want to go not the cones”. Lol. Great video.

Excellent explanation. Thank you. A semi did this to me, with slight variation. I don't think he did it on purpose, don't think he knew he was doing it. I knew something was about to happen, didn't know what to do, just focused on keeping my car in my lane. My grandson was in the backseat. We hit the concrete barrier on the right, from the right lane, spun all the way around twice, ended up in the left lane, from the right lane. It was shocking, I never want to do that again. His front cab tire connected with my car, my rear wheel. I keep thinking what I could have done different. I intuitively knew I could not slow/brake, but maybe if I had tried to ease to the right, away from him... I'll never know. It's a miracle no one was seriously injured, no other cars were involved. I'm so grateful people, many people stopped to check on me and my grandson. They all gave an account of what happened, that the truck "hit" me. People can be so good.

Awesome explanation! I've been yelling at my TV every weekend because the geniuses on the show, "On Patrol Live" only know the Touch, Turn, Hit the brakes method. This is probably why they end up trying to PIT the vehicle multiple, multiple times.

What is the defense against the pit maneuver?
@TacticalRifleman2 жыл бұрын
Separate topic not the point of this video , but defense against the PIT is really easy but only if PRACTICED till mastered, and varies by vehicle. Sedan easy, SUV hard.

I’ve seen stuff about laser dazzlers, I feel like they would be more effective than any flashlight at blinding an attacker, slap one on the front of your gun and they can’t see to get accurate shots off?

What is the minimum speed required for this to be effective?
@shanek65822 жыл бұрын
4.7 mph, or equivalent 125,000 kph.
@TacticalRifleman2 жыл бұрын
Jason, don't listen to Shane, as he is messing with you. Minimum speed will depend on the road surface, weight of target vehicle, and contact patches of the tires (rear of target & front of attacker). 40 MPH as a rule, but I know of an instructor who PIT a Duely Pickup with a Yugo back on 2000, just to prove it could be done.
@jasontcolson2 жыл бұрын
@@TacticalRifleman 10-4, guys. In full disclosure, I’ve done PITS as low as 35 mph (former cop). Just wanted to hear your opinion and hopefully contribute to the algorithm 😁
@AwesomeOldGuy2 жыл бұрын
If it's an SUV and you're in a car it's easier 🤣. It depends on other things to . Like vehicle weight weather conditions and road conditions. But a rule of thumb is approximately 40mph .

@@TacticalRifleman besides no focus and not being able to ID between a bear or deer at my feeder 125 yards until they move around a bit, and definitely no ID at that range between a raccoon or possum (FLIR saves focus rings for you government guys) FLIR won't even service them for us anymore! (Probably would yours) I've sent mine back twice and FLIR has contracted out repairing them to some civilian boat store marina up in New England! Still has an intermittent on issue but the boat repairman that works on them said I must not be pushing the button hard enough lol.
