People are criticizing PITs because of danger. But they don't criticize when criminals end in deadly crashes involving bystanders and other people just going by their business. Yes, it's a dangerous maneuver but cuts the danger of others being involved multiple times. Now, a grappler might be an option to stop vehicle pursuits don't know how cost effective its going to be. But as a general note, human behavior is to criticize everything that's not part of a daily life or a daily routine. People are going to criticize PITs and crashes involving other bystanders (how come they didn't use PIT?) vehicle pursuits, PITs, crashes always make the headlines on the news which is part of the fault of media. Media shouldn't be capitalizing on clicks, views, etc. of crashes, chases and PITs. Criticism is not because PITs are bad or chases, it's part of a human behavior because it's something not occurring on a daily basis. And media puts it into our life's.

Well of course there are more PITS. That’s because more people are fleeing from police over the years. It’s stayed pretty consistent with the number of chases each year.

Arkansas troopers are the best cops in the nation. All other agencies should send their cops there for proper training. Half the cops out there coddle crooks and I’m sick of it.

The PIT is a very effective method. But that newer method which tangles up the rear wheels is much more effective and much safer for both police and innocent passers-by. Funding needs to be made available to equip every pursuit unit with one of those.

Example of Saudi arabia police and media, they show police chases and more aggressive responses to chases and pursuits as a public safety technique. They make the message to the public in a way to make public think of others, bystanders and their friends and relatives not being involved in a deadly crash caused by criminals running away from police. Message is the key how public understands what's being shown to them. In US media shows graphic images and video of deadly chases and pursuits which drives aggression and criticism in public. There's no message of public safety and police concerns about public.

WHY BOTHER WITH THIS TRAINING - when all you need is a grappler???!? A grappler costs much less than the lives of the troopers and the public. 🤔🤔🤔

Use your head. The grappler only works if the car ahead is not weaving back and forth. When the criminal is all over the road the grappler is useless. God I wish people would grow a brain.
