After thinking about it for a while, when I really got into the depths of cubing specially with F2L and look ahead. That saying “You must be really good at math.” started making sense, but then I just realized I’m just good at hand eye coordination, just the same as your average gamer. It fascinates me, although both of us are using the same skill sets, Cubers are perceived much better by the society then gamer.

I had a very obvious example of muscle memory kicking in when I was learning full PLL. I noticed when I started learning the F perm that I suddenly was doing it very quickly without any thought. Turns out my hands had realized that it was a modified T perm and just started moving on their own before I could consciously notice.

What i think is most weird is when i try a Yperm, i sometimes do the wrong one, as if my mind gets triggered by the same pattern for a other pll. I automatically do the wrong moves wich i only notice after or halfway when i do a case. Also, i dont know certain cases in slow solving, i only know them with muscle memory, Also, i sometimes just forget how to do a case, thats really annoying and rediculous. Anyway, great video :D I have recently became sub 11 because i found out about my weak spots, you are totally right on that.
