The plane struck a few birds while on take off. Which caused an engine failure. So as the initial speed of the plane was starting to gain momentum that time, it then suddenly dropped after the failure of the engines. This led the pilots to land in the nearby Hudson river. It's a really risky task, as it is a huge plane just to land on a single strech of the river immediately after takeoff. The pilots were truly heros!
