In what way did the Night Land influence the Dark Souls series? Light Spoilers only!
Is Miyazaki a hack? Was Elden Ring any good? Which From Software game is the best one? What can we expect from the latest Armored Core game? So many questions...
But before that...let's discuss a book that spooked H.P. Lovecraft. SO A BOOK REVIEW!
This will be the first in the series of videos that I wanna do on certain books that I think would appeal to video game enthusiasts. Novels and stories, that rival and even surpass the atmosphere of the best that games have to offer. Books that will make you love video games even more.
"The Night Land" is a science fiction and horror novel by William Hope Hodgson, first published in 1912. It is considered one of the pioneering works of the Dying Earth subgenre and has had a significant influence on subsequent science fiction and fantasy literature.
I wanted to talk about this book in depth but decided against it. It's one of a kind and you owe yourself that experience. Especially if you love video games. Also, I liked the excuse to replay Dark Souls again.
But It's also a Dark Souls to win a bet video!
Most of the artwork I took for this video is from nightland.website/ where the author of The Night Land a Story Retold, James Stoddard also contributed at some point.
Like (if you liked it) subscribe (if you want to see more) and comment something....anything, even if it's mean. We need to get gringos to actually watch my videos.
An alternative title for this video is The Night Land Review and How it Influenced the Dark Souls Series and its lore.
