So much more to it than you think. I’m a member of a golf club and this makes me appreciate the job done by the green team. I wouldn’t want 45000 people on my lawn every year!

What a beautifully presented course. No wonder so many good golfers have come out of Belvoir Park over the years. As others have stated here, greenkeepers are the unsung heroes of golf, but when we are struggling to keep our tiny little lawns in shape we begin to appreciate what they do every week in all sorts of weathers.

Its a very fortunate golf club with its bugets, etc. I didn't realise they have 45000 rounds a year though. That causes its own issues... i though it was only 25- 30000 rounds which would allow the greenkeepers to maintain it easier..its tough with so many golfers getting in the way😂😂😂. Gone are the days for millionaires golf unless you head to Scotland where you find hundreds.... often links on perfect ground for golf.

I've been a keeper for over 23 yrs ...the last 10 or less ,I have often wondered WHY every fairway should be cut the same .....would it not be more visually acceptable to cut in different cutting designs , pertaining to the individual holes ? eg cross-cut here, straight out Tee-to green there , links ie dark/ light here & there, wiggles& waggles here & there ..of course all depending upon par , be it 3,4,or 5 ...or is it because, THE MEMBERS DECIDE, WHAT THEY WANT , REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE HEAD GREENKEEPER DECIDES ?
