This video and the swing plane video have just helped me out so much. I’ve watched a ton of YT videos to help with my swing, I got into the game about 10 months ago and I have gotten much better but your explanations make the ideas so simple in my mind. You’re an awesome teacher and you gained a viewer today. Thank you so much.

The solution for us hackers is really quite simple-and never gotten to in this clip. Keep that the front arm straight and the back elbow close to the body and hang on to the hinge to impact. This will give a natural swing plane that takes you to a solid shot. It is very, very simple. My wife, who is not very athletic, has learned this quite well in less than two weeks.

Now a days its so much easier to teach a newbie because of youtube educating us decades old hackers that we now know what to look for /do…but for us ,we tend to need more to overcome decades of bad technique

So true all i focus on is once im at top of swing keep that wrist hinge til impact always an easy and good shot. Cheers🎉

@ryanmouquegolf lol I seen a ton but my number one video 📹 the one that change everything for me was this one the title of video>>> Worlds #1 Coach shares Right arm Secret With Me - Live Golf lesson. That changed everything for me the right elbow is definitely the magic 🎩 move in my book , I don't know if you seen that video but its a great video maybe you can get a lesson from Pete Cowen as well one day and put it on KZbin I'm sure it would blow your channel up!! You will probably have to spend quite a bit of money for the lesson but it's well worth it in the long run in my opinion especially if your channel blows up ! Anyways check out the video

Ryan , the right arm really is the secret , Hogan said on pg. 48 of his book , last sentence , “ it helps, you will find , if your upper right arm ( triceps muscle ) adheres as closely as possible to the side of the chest “ ! There are a few drills to help keep it there all the way to the top , like the back of the left hand under the triceps and make right arm backswings , and let the right wrist bend back toward the shoulder at the top or “ dorsiflex “ as the more technical would say . Mike Malaska also has videos on how the right hand and arm work . This was pure GOLD ! Thanks , John ps. Pushing the club back w/ the left arm and shoulder doesn’t work , the right arm pulls it across the chest and up on the inside , this is the way it should be taught !

I will not throw a club again …or at least ill think twice before… many many yrs ago i had an almost antique 2i that i for some reason hit reasonably well most times . I was playing g my old set of beginner clubs i got at caldors (a now decades closed department store chain) and was planning if i shot another 9 in the mid to low 40’s i was buying a new setof irons . I was nearing the end of 9 and was on course for maybe even breaking 40 for the first time ever .. cant recall if it was a par 5 or i missed my tee shot on a par 4 but i needed more than the 230-250 i could get out of my 3i . …or i wouldve needed to really wind up to make the green with the 3 .. so out comes the ole 2i , all i had to do was smooth it through the ball and i was good almost anywhere the ball went …i was excited, i wound up took a breath ,and swung smooth and slowish down towards tHe ball … and hit 3-4inches behind it and the ball only went about 50-80 yrds max 😡😡😡😡😡almost whipped the club but caught myself and just sort of tossed / flipped it up in the air a few feet …and i watched this light flipping toss as it came down and hit perfectly on angle to bend and crease the shaft almost 180 degrees 🤦🏼♂️. This club was at least 30 yrs old and irreplaceable ! I was so flustered i ended up finishing just barely in what i could call mid 40’s (thunk it was a 47 ) ..i could never find another 2i i could hit at all never mind as easily as that one … tldr: dont ever throw a club unless your sure you can live / play without it . They break easier than you’d think ! Bought a set of the best irons that Dicks sporting had in my price range:air bears … that proceeded to ruin my game and ive never come close to breaking 50 since (over 20 yrs now )… in my mind its all because i broke that 2i Just this season ive gone back to complete game improvement clubs (taylormade Qi irons and a Qi max driver ) that havent helped yet but i see my self learning to hit them well by next season 😬 Sorry for long comment .this is the second of your videos i watched consecutively and i like your methods/tips and wanted to help the channels by commenting ..but, me being older middle aged now i tend to ramble 🤪😜🤷🏼♂️👍🏼✌️

Excellent job Ryan in explaining how the right arm should work in the swing! I do pay attention to my right arm fold and unfold in the swing. I try to keep it in close to my side during the swing and I immediately know when it leaves my side because of the shot that is produced. I wouldn't worry too much about replicating either Wolf's and Furik's swing because of the personal uniqueness! I am a new subscriber to your channel and looks forward to your contributions.

Hello Ryan, Thank you for an excellent and helpful video. For your rotation to the ball and through, are you pulling with the whole left side or just left knee and hip? Once I have the club to near impact I do fire the whole right arm but what is the best way to start the whole downswing sequence. I know I am asking the typical question but I keep struggling with the start. thanks, Jeff

Should your right arm be relaxed as much as possible on the backswing to get external rotation?
@ryanmouquegolf Жыл бұрын
Yes, I’d say some softness is needed to allow it to fold
