How the Sims 2 teased the release of the Sims 3!

Hi simmers :)
I know that the Sims 3 came out ages ago! But before that, there was a time were you couldn't customize your sim and your furniture to the degree possible today.
Still Sims 2 is legendary, and did you notice these hints in the game, that new times (the sims 3!) were coming?
