The LORD has called me to be a woman at home, looking after my family & home. Boy is there such an attack on family, no value for motherhood anymore. If your not bringing in money, as a married woman, culture says you have no value, but our value is in christ. Jezebel can work around men too, I have seen it , devaluing the wife / woman & putting & shutting her down too. Works both ways.

The pattern of God for marriage is perfect...When God is in it. Neither do we want to regress to days where women were abused and came to harm under the guise of being submissive. Men are the priests of the household. If you want your wife to be submissive it will not be done might or power but by My Spirit says the Lord. Better relationship with The Holy Spirit. 🙈 Major generalizations being made here about women today. Maybe divorced women have those “wants” to be the earner and be respected. But most women in Christian marriages still want to be loved and protected and provided for. And when men stop doing that, then women stressfully/begrudgingly step up to be his “mother” and/or CEO in the house- it’s a stress-based response to the lack of masculinity and feminine needs not being met.

People have become sooo detached from God, that they have idolized themselves above everything else🥴 Yet they want this or that etc, and complain, compare, and condemn others as to why this isn’t working etc for them. Wake up. The problem is you(individual). Not anybody else. Humility is one of the fruits of the spirit yet many people have none. They want what the world deems “success”, yet they don’t realize that on your death bed, none of that ain’t gonna matter. All that’s gonna matter is if I you was a “good” person, especially to others. That’s why asking for forgiveness is common to those who are about to leave this world. It’s sad honestly. This may surprise you, but in America the reasons more women stayed married in our grandmother’s day weren’t spiritual, but rather because women did not have rights. They couldn’t purchase anything, own anything, or open a bank account. Black women could only get jobs as domestics which didn’t provide enough wages to pay rent or feed the children. A woman had to have her husband’s permission to smoke, or even have surgery. She could not decide to stop having children by having her tubes tied, or to have a hysterectomy even if she was suffering, without her husband’s consent. Many women were victims of domestic violence. Once women entered the workforce, got degrees and made enough to to take care of themselves and their children, divorce was on the rise. For poor women there was a secondary reason. In order to be eligible for Government assistance programs there could be no adult male in the household. A man had to voluntarily abandon his family if he wanted them to eat. This was possibly the single most contributing factor that destroyed the Black family in America.

I work with sexual Addiction in marriages & the horrible abuse that’s tied to that. The women I work with are overall godly Christian women who feel that to be a good Christian they are to stay in the abuse.. they stay bc of fear of God until they are a shell of a person. They submitted but the sexually addicted spouse increased the abuse. Our grandparents didn’t hVe easy access to pornography that lead to other sexual sins that effects marriages today in a more dramatic way. Please put a caveat to your discussion so godly women can set boundaries to determine if their spouse will get help to be set free fr sexual sin. Do you know the percentages of men in church addicted to porn? Church staff/pastors.. that statistic is 50% so what about the regular church attender? This issue is an epidemic problem needing to be addressed in churches.

There will be those who actually follow Jesus, the Bible and the teaching therein and those who think they do but have secret sin such as porn. If these people read their bibles then they would be full of a righteous fear of the Lord and would stop that sin. In the parable of the 10 virgins - Jesus said to 5 of them “I don’t know you”. These were ‘Christians’ (the metaphor for virgins) but they did not get into heaven.

Women need love and respect. Women have been disrespected by husbands a lot and that’s why they would say they want respect because that was lacking. Not because they didn’t need love as well. There are men who have turned away from God because they saw their godly mothers stay in abusive marriages because of the fear of the Lord so they see this as what kind of God would leave her to be abused. No one should stay in a neglectful or abusive relationship. It doesn’t mean they have to get a divorce but they need to love themselves

My mother was divorced and raised four kids on her own… my husband left and I’ve got three high school students now. Their dad moved to another country and only sees his kids two times a year… I have not sought another relationship… focusing on homeschooling my kids… it has been so tremendously hard, especially the last three years. I cannot imagine where I could have squeezed in trying to date in the mix of everything… it would have put us all more on a roller coaster… but I have longed for a godly role model for my kids in my home!!!

I agree and I also would add that if there is chaos in the home then couples are unequally yoked. Most people choose who they want to be with and not who God has chosen for them. This is the biggest problem in marriages. I speak from experience. I was disobedient to the Lord when he showed me through scripture not to marry my x-husband. I was a new christian and thought I was doing the right thing by God by marrying my boyfriend. My x-husband cheated on me multiple times and wanted a divorce. It wasn't until years later that I realised I was disobedient to the Lord by not listening to Him, but in His faithfulness He still gave me the desires of my heart and that is my beautiful son. The Lord is now re-aligning my legacy to His original purpose and design.

Respect is a basic human need nothing to do with gender.. There are some basic & important principles for a healthy marriage = MUTUAL LOVE & RESPECT, commitment, communication, empathy, intimacy, trust, accepting one another not being judgemental.. 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. A Godly woman submits her will, she doesn't usurp her husband's authority. Jezebel usurped Ahab's authority, Jezebels usurp the husband's authority, they control every decision in the marriage, kids the man has no say. A marriage where one partner is not respected is doomed to fail..disagreeableness is a personality trait it has nothing to do with gender, it's important for pple to be self aware of their personalities and allow the Holy Spirit to work with in them so that they dnt destroy their marriages because of their - ve personality traits..

Was it really the fear of the Lord or just fear? Even families that don't believe in God are experiencing an increase in divorce rates. Over time, divorce laws has allowed women to get more rights post-divorce - so there is no longer the fear of how will a women support herself without a husband.

Fear of the Lord is very different from general fear. Of course families that don’t believe in God are experiencing greater divorce. The point is Christians should not be the same due to their fear of God and his anger towards divorce and the fact that he created family for a reason. Society NEEDS family structure. Family has broken down - so has society and it’s directly linked.

Brother, What is lacking in the families these days is submission to the Word of God. The families which build themselves on the Word of God will stand. Those people who make the Word of God as a lamp unto their feet and light unto their oath will stand. Women need both love and honor(1 Peter 3:7) and so also the men. Will the Christ (the bridegroom) marry the church (the bride) if she does not love Him or honor Him?. No. The one who does not love the Lord will not have the Love of the Father in him/her and so is not eligible for the marriage with Christ. Likewise can a man marry or live with a women who does not have love or honor for her husband? I don't think so and Solomon told us in proverbs how to live with contentitious women. But since we are humans we do err at times we need to forgive one another by crucifying our flesh as required by remembering what Lord said to Peter on forgiving. If only both husband and wife live as said by Peter in 1 Peter 3:8-9 - Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. The whole chapter of 1 Peter 3 is a great wisdom of God as to how to conduct as Christian husbands and wives. But who cares? Only the really born-again will care and hear His voice and obey His commandments for they are His true sheep and satan cannot snatch them away from the Lord's hand. Finally, the women's first duty is to care for others - whether of their children, husband, parents or others (1 Timothy 5:10, 2 Tim 2:4-5, 1 Petr 3:1-6).Men do look for care from their wives as Isaac looked for comfort in Rebekah (Genesis 24:67)and a virtuous wife brings honor to her husband (Proverbs 31). May the spirit of Jezebel be driven out of Christian homes and even from this world so that the whole world can become God's kingdom. Thank you and God Bless..!!🙏💐🙌

What happens when you are forced to married someone from your family arrange it and you married and you were never loved and only abused. And you’re husband has girlfriends and doesn’t want you to practice your faith or worship God. Doesn’t love his child and doesn’t care for the child. Have no sense of family because husband likes to stay in his room by himself from the beginning of the marriage. He just married because he needs someone to cook and clean and earn money and give it all to him. Would you still recommend to stay in that marriage? Man submissive? Wants peace? Do you know that there are some man who doesn’t feel peace when they don’t quarrels. Until they don’t hurt someone they don’t get good sleep. Scriptures says if anyone can’t leave father, mother, sister, brother, wife or children for His sake they are not worthy of Him. Should someone stay with a non believer and abusive husband and ended up ending their life in their own hands, because torture is unbearable towards her and her child?

A Christian man needs a wife who is: 1. Submissive 2. Co-operative 3. Respectful 4. Kind 5. Calm So many Christian women today could fit this description, if they would just put their minds to it. A Christian woman needs a husband who is: 1. Assertive, not a male simp 2. Strong 3. Confident 4. Knows what he wants, goes after it, and doesn't apologize for doing so 5. Bold Unfortunately, the church has emphasized the mandate to prefer others to ourselves, which is a good thing if done for the right reasons. Instead, we've used this as an excuse to turn men into passive little boys who are scared of their own shadows. Single women don't look twice at a guy like this, same as single guys won't look twice at a bolshy woman.

Submission to your husband isn't conditioned on his performance or obedience to the Lord. It's God's order that is in question here. God's order will always stand irrespective of the failure of the man or woman. If they align with God's order, God's power and provision will flow through. But if either rebels against God's order for any reason at all, they will incur God's displeasure and a curse will follow. We are commanded to be subject to the governing authorities irrespective of whether they are moral or immoral. The Apostle Paul gave that command when the whole world was under Cezar's power. Submission has to do with authority not love or passion. That is why Christ Jesus said only those who do the will of His Father shall enter His KINGDOM. The word of the King is law. Whoever disobeys His word rejects His will. The scripture on submission fully reads, "Wives submit unto your OWN husbands AS UNTO THE LORD". The condition here is "as unto the Lord". Put it another way, "as you submit to the Lord". The question of a wife's submission to her husband is predicated on her submission to the Lord. If she refuses to submit to her husband, it reveals she doesn't know the Lord. No wonder Jesus said not many who call Him "Lord, Lord" shall enter His kingdom" Lastly, our obedience to the Lord reveals our submission to Him. We can't do so by sheer human will or determination. It takes spiritual strength to obey the Lord. That spiritual strength is our dependence on Him; it's our deference to Him. God allows us to go through various trials to purify us of the dross in our souls. My wife and I used to quarrel over the slightest provocation. Until I began to understand what was going on, I couldn't allow the Lord to work in me. God was using my wife to reveal iniquity in my heart. I get angry when she upsets me. I thought the issue was with her until I realized God was allowing me to see the dross of iniquity in my soul. When I realised it, I prayed to Him to remove the dross. Removing the dross is God's work. Ours is to confess our iniquity to Him. Intimacy with Him leads to inward transformation. This transformation is our bearing His image; it is to be as Holy as He is. A tree grows root overtime to enable it draw nutrients and water for its trunk and branches. The root also enables the tree to withstand the most tumultuous wind or storm. The stronger the wind, the more it sends it's roots downward. That is why the scriptures compare the righteous to the cedars of Lebanon. Obedience to Christ isn't predicated on outward conditions. If it were so, Christ wouldn't have gone to the Cross.

God created Adam...what a privilege.. them Adam undermines God's authority by blaming God for Eve's sin...when God sought account from Adam because He made him head...Adam responded..it was the woman YOU gave me. This is not seeking peace...it is unsubmission towards God Himself...hence Jesus (the 2nd Adam) had to come & redeem!

Absolutely on point! The Torah shows two kinds of sin. One is intentional and the other unintentional. The intentional is unforgiveable without atonement. Eves was unintentional due to spiritual warfare (Sin of the mind). Adam was required to make intersession and instead made a sin of the heart and that is when he gave his authority over to the adversary and generational curse activated. Adam became the great accuser. Hence Yahushua had to be sent to break the generational curse by his eternal blood to gain their God given authority back through him and crush the serpents head.
