This is how all those producers sitting making loops all day with massive placements make their loops. Everyone's result will turn out different.. but this is pretty much how they do it + adding tons of FX on top of it (portal, thermal, drip, rc-20 etc). You can get this sound with stock plugins though trust me! What's funny about this video is that I already know basic music theory from when I first started out making beats. But watching this video of Kyle making a melody and showing the basics of making a loop (plus with the additional ear-candy/small details) helps me to understand and practice certain key parts to making a good loop. Good job Kyle making this video, your knowledge is very valuable to people like me. 😇🫡 💯

Loops are cool but people depend on them too much or they add musicality to the production while using loops. Just a loop and drums and that’s it, that’s why music isn’t as good and infectious as it use to be in rap and rnb. People need to play music to go over those loops or along with.
@darkfalcon96 ай бұрын
Init, respect to the producers who make melodies from scratch and dnt rely on loops

music is music, if it sounds good, it’s good regardless of wether or not it’s just a loop and drums
@Magnetic19086 ай бұрын
@@addycharmxo6505 yeah but we still need to come up with new and fresh, innovative sounds that haven’t been done yet, so things don’t start becoming wack. We can’t be lazy when music has endless possibilities to create greatness.
@JicoAlejandro5 ай бұрын
@@Magnetic1908are those loops are not product of fresh ideas? loops aren't bad at all. you know, even popular musicians rely on team of composers. go to studio and see most popular songs are made by group of people. loops are not different since most rappers are only writing lyrics for themselves. they are just waiting for the beat who made mostly by single producer. sometimes that producer suffers from beatblock so instead of hiring a bunch of musicians to create melodies, he bought loops instead. it's not different from hiring musicians, but he saved time and a couple of bucks. and it's not different on using samples tho. early hip hop producers are heavily relying on samples. I am producer myself but personally I don't use loops but I don't blame people from using it. I sometimes experienced artist block and unable to make beats for weeks. and I understand those producers who are using loops.
@cavrenodem2436Ай бұрын
@@JicoAlejandro Whenever musicians are hired for a session they are told what to play and how to play it by the producer. Very few times are they in there with the producer and told to just create or come up with their own melodies. So it's still coming from the producers mind when they hire session players, they just don't have the ability to play a particular instrument so they hire musicians. Will loops, there is no changing anything other than minor pitch and tempo adjustments. Other than that, you get what you get with pre made loops over live musicians. Neither one is remotely the same.

I have a question. I'm new to making beats... regularly... songs are 1:30+ long. How can you stay consistent? Is there like a Beginning, climax, ending like a story, or do we look at beats differently?
