A history of how the US military-industrial complex was created, with its deep links to Wall Street, following the National Security Council's top secret memo NSC 68: a blueprint for the first cold war.
First cold war architect George Kennan wrote in 1987: "Were the Soviet Union to sink tomorrow under the waters of the ocean, the American military-industrial complex would have to go on, substantially unchanged, until some other adversary could be invented. Anything else would be an unacceptable shock to the American economy."

@@antimattv While I appreciate that kind of solidarity (and would definitely assume it until indicated otherwise, especially if it's only projected in words), I think a kind of paralysis of action in our current historical moment may be concealing the direction of action some of these ideological lodestars might orient people towards if any opportunity for collective escape velocity ever reveals itself. I only say this so as to be conscious of some historical precedent like during the sailor/worker uprisings in interwar Germany that was directed by various counter-revolutionary factions within the ostensibly "social democratic" SPD/USPD with consciously duplicitous figures like Ebert, instead thwarting revolution to the recapitulation of the "liberal democratic" state in Weimar using the freikorps paramilitary (later becoming the SS, shocker) to ensure the suppression of the massive revolutionary momentum to the point where it could no longer sustain any fervent oppositional foothold, infamously executing the most radically lucid/inspirational leaders like Rosa Luxemburg. Essentially almost immediately resonating the truth of her Spartacus movement's succinct and (tragically) accurate political dichotomy to this day: *_Socialism or_* [continued] *_barbarism._* PS - If I recall in fucking Goebbels's diaries during this time, he wrote something to the infuriatingly accurate affect of, _"the communists had their chance and they lost it, and they will _*_never_*_ have it again."_ As Marx outlined and Lenin followed, the ideological alignment of the most advanced industrialized nation-state in Europe ie Germany was of course the lynchpin of any potential for a successful socialist movement to sustain any material staying-power/defense through that industrialized base. An imperative separation of regional interests enforced to this day with NATO (and as elucidated in this very video awesomely at like 1:10:00 ish), its raison d'être keeping _"Americans in, the Germans down, and the Russians out"_ as its first secretary general Lord Ismay helpfully illuminated in its geopolitical function as a US political cudgel over Europe (along with insane covert enforcement like Operation Gladio in Italy, stoking a public climate of fear through CIA direction of terrorism via fascist paramilitaries guided by the tactic self-described as the "strategy of tension"...stop me if you've heard this one...). But uh...pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will...or something!

Great video. A contrarian question why is there no demand for financial accountability in the largest sector of our economy health care which is nearly 20% of GDP while defense is about 4% of gdp. Note for reference the rest of the world spends 5-10% of GDP on healthcare. The empire is controlled by mega corporations with grift of other nations, allies and citizens of America. It is just BIG BUSINESS.

If the European economy is destroyed where will the money come from to buy US goods? Borrow? European debt levels are already astronomically high. I think that you underestimate the level of anti-US feeling in Europe. As for the UK, the political situation in the UK is crumbling, no matter how hard the UK establishment grovels to the whims of the US. Strikes are nation-wide and will only intensify as the economy continues to deteriorate. Change is coming. Seamus M was dead wrong @10:54, he clearly misunderstood and suggesting the privately own Federal Reserve as subordinate to the department of Treasury. While it's the Treasury that gave up the right of issue of a country's currency to this private company in 1913, but it has no control to the FR whatsoever. Even when the US president suppose to appoint the chairman of the FR, are we really going to expect them to go against their sponsors (maybe except JFK)? The USA government hollowed out its economy by running massive trade deficits and government debt some of the money buys government debts, etc but also they purchased hard assets which creates a massive negative international investment position, transfers technology , resources, manufacturing , etc overseas into creditor nations hands. These creditor nations allow this to continue because they are receiving massive benefits while the USA military contractors and wall street are also becoming massively wealthy the losers are the bottom 90% of the American people. No one is forcing all these countries to keep the USA dollar as reserve everyone is feeding from the hog trough and don't want it to end yes before your right the American deep state would overthrow governments and so forth but that was in the past . IF the USA military and other apparatuses are used now its because overseas creditors are also using these tools for their own benefits to shape the world landscape . Once they are done reshaping the landscape than guess what? They will dump the dollar and the American people leaving them broke and powerless

I would consider the Jew to be the highest intellect amongst Europeans. Seamus makes a key point, the Tree Shakers and Jelly Makers (adventurist, monarchist, and bad-ass dudes with big egos) during the formation of American imperial design were on a mission to make every White person in America an imperialist stakeholder through the perks of good education and well-paid employment, and it worked! And it is still working even though the rise of the Precariat, exposed by the opioid epidemic, would seem to usher in a new awareness among White people that the Racial Oligarchy is not necessarily their friend, needs them but thinks it could do without them if forced (through identity politics, the Oligarchy has been able to rally it's sub-national malcontents around the idea that "white male supremacy" can be put to sleep, which puts regular White folks rightly on edge). I think Good is mistaken about Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Soviets were still US allies at that point, & it was only dimly perceived that they did not plan on leaving Eastern Europe but instead intent upon creating a series of satellite states - there was a lot of naiveté about Soviet intentions in US diplomatic circles, in fact, much of it probably willful. Thus the bombs weren’t meant as a display for the Soviet Union. The urge to integrate the decision to drop the bombs into the overall Cold War narrative is understandable, but this is a mistake, imo. History is often much more ad hoc than we’d like to believe.
