Salute to AMU. Retired 11B. 8yrs AD, 19VTARNG and when my body gave out, was staff and instructed MMship a lot. Went to Sniper School in Panama before DA re-activated it and one Army guy who went to USMC Sniper School and AMU. One key lesson if I may pass on: "The Iron sights on my rifle never fogged up, never had the battery run out and the lens never cracked." After they shoot beyond max effective range, then let them put on scopes. We WILL face a World War and they will not be able to churn out enuf gadgets to turn a moron into a Marksman which is what they are doing now. There is much more to Advanced Rifle MMship (I retired in 08 and terminology and expertise is obviously dated) than what the old joke of an FM stated. Tactics must be part of it. Anyways, SALUTE AMU.
