My mother-in-law was in a VERY abusive marriage, even before that monstrous ex-husband became a JW in 2007, so I can definitely see the comparison. 😬😬😬

I hope that she's doing better now, and I'm so glad she got out!

@@anotherhealingjourneybegins Fortunately, she's doing much better now, but still. It makes me very angry every time I hear her story! Like, how could those so-called elders, the people who were supposed to help her, fail her so badly when she and her children were being severely abused by that evil, monstrous 'husband'?! It makes me sick just thinking about it. My mother-in-law, my husband, and my siblings-in-law could have DIED had my late parents not stepped in! They were the only ones who believed and supported her when no one else in her former congregation did. The amount of victim-blaming in this high-control religious group is beyond disgusting and heartbreaking. No one deserves to suffer from religious trauma or be abused. EVER. GOSH, it infuriates me! 😠😠😡😡😡😡💔💔

"Just keep shoveling coal" Back story: that is a direct quote from the Gilead Graduates 2024: "If you find yourself questioning WHY all these recent changes to how JWs are supposed to act and think 🤔 First stop yourself from doubting anything the GB told you And then just keep shoveling the coal. It is the equivalent of :sit down and shut up while we drive off a cliff".😅😅
