I met him at work. He was on “vacations” in my city, but he lived in another city. We started dating, and just clicked, we knew he had to go back to his town, but we didn’t care, we decided to keep messaging and talking in the phone, because he told me he’d get back. I’ve just seen him once, last year. Right now we are choosing each other everyday, wishing one day we see each other again.

Me and my girlfriend have been in a long distance relationship for going on 4 months and we've been through all these stages but we keep choosing each other over and over again like the video said. Its tough but we both are working towards living together in the future at some point. We both fell in love without ever seeing each other in person which most people probably think is impossible but I'm here to tell you its not and it can work if both people are committed 100% 100% of the time Update: It’ll be 6months on Dec. 13th and still going strong. Still haven’t met in person due to COVID but we’re planning on buying her a plane ticket cause she’s from Canada and they’re allowed to fly to the US and then we’ll move in an apartment together by Jan 2021 ... We’ve talked about marriage and kids and the whole nine. We’re very much still in love and wanting to be together. Still talk everyday/night and still have an argument about something stupid every now and then 😂

If you’re feeling doubtful, here are some pros of LDR: 1. You learn to really cherish moments together because they are rare - every time you see each other feels like a vacation 2. You get to focus on yourself and build up your life knowing you have their support whereas it can be easy to get lost in a traditional relationship and lose sight of your life separate from theirs 3. You learn to communicate really well because sometimes communication is all you have when you’re apart

This is actually super true. My bf and I go to different colleges so we’re pretty far apart. Anytime I get to see him I will not leave his sides and there’s always so much to catch up on, and I’ve built up my joke repertoire so I can make him laugh. Communication was really important for us, we used to call everyday, and now we do date nights once a week (virtually). I had really bad jealousy problems when I was with really bad roomies that were bullying me and he and his friends kept posting pictures of them having fun. Yet once I actually focused on myself and stayed busy and got a life? I felt a lot happier. We support each other in everything and it really is rewarding. But at least we both move back home in the summer so I can annoy him in person :)

I'm in a long distance relationship with the man of my dreams. At first it was extremely difficult for both of us because we didn't really know how to communicate well to each other but we figured it out. We always spoke on the phone whenever we had free time, tell each other about our days, talk about any doubts we had and reassured each other. Another thing that surprisingly helped was getting each other small gifts so the other person knows you're thinking of them or even sending letters! We would also visit each other once or twice a year if we could. Now we're both getting married and I feel like our relationship couldn't be stronger. Long distance relationships teach you to be vulnerable with each other and give that extra attention

This video hits different when you're actually facing this right now. Update: Hey everyone, first of all, I would thank you so much for all the support you gave towards me and each other in the comments. I was hesitant at first to give some updates about it, but I figured this would help you guys who had the same experience like me. After being in a LDR for almost two years, I finally had the chance to met him two months ago, until today. It wasn't easy for us to reach this point together, but we were quite happy that we finally beat the distance together. For you guys that are in a LDR right now, it might be hard and crazy, especially when it's full of uncertainty of when you guys will meet each other again. But believe me, you and your partner are both strong enough to do it. Distance might not be easy, but always know that distance is what makes us stronger and grow both as an individual and a partner. For you guys who didn't make it, I'm so sorry. It must've been hard to deal with all that especially in the middle of the pandemic itself. But know that there are wonderful things waiting for you ahead. You're strong enough to get over that and move on. That said, thank you so much for reading until this point, and I hope you guys have a wonderful day.

Me and my boyfriend met online about almost 2 years ago. We lived on different continents so we never thought dating was an option. We were like best friends and talked all day. A year later we decided we want to be together despite the distance. Although it’s been hard, we made it work. I think it was a good thing because we fell in love with each other before we even entered a physical relationship. I moved to the same continent 3 months later for college. We were still in different countries but same time zone and it wasn’t as far. It’s been almost a year of us dating. Next month he’s flying here to meet me for the first time. A long distance relationship is super hard to maintain, but if you do manage and ultimately find a way to live together, it’s the best test that any couple can go through. We started dating long distance with my boyfriend, it was hard for months, but when he finally could move to my country (France) we were SO IN LOVE and knowing each other SO MUCH for having spent countless hours on the phone talking… that nothing could break us apart. Now we’ve been happily living together for more than 3 years and I still love him more than I ever loved anybody, and feel loved the same way ❤️ Sending force and courage to every couple going through that hard trial, believe me… it’s worth it ❤️ Edit: 6 years together tomorrow, and counting ❤️ hold on to your special someone everyone!

I recently found myself in a long distance relationship. In a way, this video was comforting to see that what I am feeling can be felt by many others in LD relationships. My boyfriend and I have been together for about four months now and we have definitely went through our ups and downs. We met in person last month and it was honestly the best two days I could have asked for. But as an overthinker, I tend to get in my head when something feels off or when we get into small arguments. I am afraid i developed codependency being in our relationship and it makes me scared. I just wish I could stop overthinking and feeling this pain in my chest :( This is my first relationship and everything feels so new and overwhelming sometimes.

Hey there, Your fears and insecurities are very normal and honestly very relatable too. This is my first relationship too and that is a long distance. I faced the same issues, fear of codependency, losing him and us.. It's a scary feeling. That person is your home, and suddenly it's not. That feeling is terrible indeed, especially in LDR! Where you are living your parallel lives in different time zones. Jealousy, insecurity, uncertainty is at peak People often ask me, is LDR tough? Well, of course it is! But the question here is.. Is it worth it? Is it worth facing all those tough times? And if the answer comes soo obvious to you, then take that call and be responsible for it no matter how hard it's gonna get! Be there, consistently, patiently, face and tackle all the hurdles together, when the answer is yes, 'it's worth it!' Just hang in there buddy! Your love will find a way ❤

After going through my share of relationships I had tried LD relationship before but nothing has compared to this!! That feeling of being in person, weather its different cities, different states (my case) or even different Countries!! Seeing your beautiful and loving significant other is one of the best feelings I have ever experienced. After all the time of listening to her voice and imagining how'd it feel to hold her in my arms I finally got the chance. That bus ride to her took FOREVER!! Now though, 9 years in the making, we will be finally be residents of the same state! (may sound corny but so what ;)). No more of "how is the weather there?" "I wish you were here..." or "you should have seen what happened!!" While this can be very true, sometimes relationships (especially ldrs) can last for way longer than they need to. Just because you last for years does not mean it is set in stone. As a relationship can go very well, but last a very short amount of time for long distance reasons it is always up to the people to 1. decide which path to take, though that doesn't mean they "failed the test of love". Thing is love we share with humans is fake. Unless its your kid pifft. Love is just a chemical reaction. That typically lasts about 6 to 12 years varys P2P which is roughly the time it takes to raise a child. OTOH True love imo is that you show your dog. I care about my dogs far more then any of my relatives. And while i love my gal id have to pick my dog if it came down to it. Dogs dont cheat yo. Unless its for dem snacks

I've known my girlfriend for nearly 11 years and have been together for roughly 9 years ( with some breaks in between ). We started online and have met a total of 4 times, but with the 4th time, I had moved over to her side for half a year, however due to circumstances we're apart again, but on the bright side we're currently working to get a home for ourselves so we'll be able to be together proper and end the long wait once and for all! We're dead set and serious and we'll get our future together. LDR is definitely possible. Very, very difficult, but possible. Good luck and a wonderful day for you all!

The line about jealousy hit hard, especially because a general routine is important to me and on the (albeit rare) occasion they spend a weekend or longer with friends, I get slammed with a mix of jealousy and anxiety, an end up realizing how important they are in my little routine, which always makes me feel awful because I haven’t had to deal with jealousy a lot. Nonetheless we’ve been properly in a relationship for 5 months and best friends for 3 1/2 years!

I'm in a LDR between Germany and Japan for almost a year now. I was planning to go to Japan in summer but most likely the travel ban won't be lifted. T.T Here are some things I've learned: - trust is really important and you should open up to eachother, open up yourself first, if the other person is not someone who does it often - just tell about your worries and what bothers you without accusing eachother - staying positive is the most important thing - be there for eachother/support eachother, if its just a virtual hug before an exam :) - call frequently and create time for eachother, it still makes you feel close - it doesnt matter if you are talking or not, its also great to do nothing together while being on videocall or zoom, at least this way you feel kinda close - maybe you can watch series together, play video games, take videos for YT or just listen to music - just do something together you both enjoy, so that you can relax and take it easy :) - don't loose hope and keep trying to make plans to meet - talk about the dreams you have together One more thing when you start doubting: it helped me to see it as test for the relationship. If it doesn't work its also okay, then it was not supposed to be. But if you keep dreaming of a future together then its proof your relationship is strong and its worth doing your best to keep it. I hope this helps someone :) I wish everyone all the best!

I met my girlfriend through the internet back last year. We dated for 6 weeks until she decided that she couldn't do this long distance relationship thing. We started dating again back in January and I can tell a lot of stories about it. But the thing that makes our relationship so special is how proud we can be of each other if we genuinely reach a point in the future where we can wake up next to each other every morning one day. I've already visited her twice. And I'm going again in October and she is coming over in December for christmas. If you, who is reading this right now, are in a long distance relationship, then always think of how proud you can be of yourselves for committing to such a thing that requires lots of determination.

Well I'm in a scenario something like that. I'm talking to a girl since last 3 months. We were friends but now she's in love with me and wants me to court her 😅. I'm (19) from India and she's (17) from Philippines. Now my mentality is that she's too far from me and we'll never be able to get together as we want. So i tried distancing myself from her for her sake because she'll suffer like this longing for me while we never meet. This made her get mad at me and she's now hurt on the fact that I'll leave her and get together with someone else. She feels heartbroken. What should I do in this scenario ? It's like the first time in something like this so idk much.

I have felt all of these stages and I can say it’s worth it when the two of you stay committed to each other regardless of the distance. To those of you starting out on this journey, don’t let the break up rates and statistics discourage you. Communicate with your partner, trust them and you stay committed on your part. My parents had an 8 year long distance relationship in their 30s between Berlin and San Francisco. Eventually my mom moved to the US and they got married at 40 and had me at 43. They're in their mid 70s now and still married. This was in the 80s, without internet and with very expensive phone calls. They'd visit each other twice a year for a few weeks and otherwise send each other snail mail letters. It's definitely possible, stay in there whoever needs to read this!
@agentorange1534 ай бұрын
And even you had it easy compared to John O'Reilly and his girlfriend -- back then, when you went away to sea as he did, there was NO way to keep in touch AT ALL unless you could (1) send a letter with another ship (only in port, which might only happen 2-3 times in a year, and the letter would take as long to get back to her as you did to get there), or (2) use a homing pigeon to deliver your message (only within a few hundred miles of your home port at most), or (3) send a message in a bottle (which could take YEARS to get there, and there was no guarantee of it getting there AT ALL)! And sea voyages back then could take YEARS -- during which time, as I already explained, both partners would be practically cut off from all contact with each other! And I also have to add that back then, sailing was a VERY dangerous line of work -- sailors died by the hundreds from accidents, from disease and sometimes from enemy action, when you went to sea there was NO guarantee that your sweetheart would EVER see you or hear from you again!

I've recently entered an LDR with a girl over snapchat too. We've been talking/flirting for just over a week almost any time we could, and on boxing day when she was feeling sad we talked all day, but when I was talking about what we could do on our date that night, when lockdown is over, she got freaked out. For the past few days she seems to have detached almost completely and isn't putting effort in when I try to create conversation/banter with her. I feel a lot of heartache and worry about the relationship. Do you have any advice on how to continue it? Seems weird because it's the strongest connection I've ever felt with anyone and seems to have changed so suddenly.
@Professor_James4 жыл бұрын
@@TheSm1thers Well communication is definitely one of the strongest foundations in a relationship, especially long distance so it's highly recommended she contributes that same amount of energy you are putting in as well. It shows you that she's also staying committed to reaching out. When you mentioned "freaking out" maybe she's fearful about something and can't really tell you. Again, she has to communicate that with you💯. If she's really isolated herself from you, it sounds to me that she's breaking away from you. I understand you feel good about her and you don't want to get disappointed, but if she's not even trying to talk to you then you have to save yourself from deeper pain and disappointment by ending it. U don't want to put too much into something that somebody is not even considering so be cautious of that. I been through quite a few long distance relationships to realize when the right one was coming. Hope this helps and best of luck💪
@TheSm1thers4 жыл бұрын
@@Professor_James Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate it. We have talked about it yesterday and she said although the connection was amazing she got scared that it was moving too fast and now she doesn't know how she feels. I asked if she wanted to call and talk about it cos it's difficult to properly understand each other through messaging. She said she had no idea when she'll be available but I think it's bullshit cos even the busiest person can make time for a phone call at some point. We haven't communicated at all today and I'm starting to move on. I think she might just not be ready for a relationship, especially a long distance one, which is a shame cos she was so open to me and I felt I could share anything with her too until she freaked out. If she's not putting in the effort anymore though I suppose there's no point in continuing. Thanks again for your response 🤜

I entered a long distance relationship in a different manner. I was introduced to my hair stylist’s sister-in-law’s sister who was living overseas in Vietnam. This was in November. She didn’t have internet, so we wrote a few letters back and forth. I decided to visit her. This was in April. After I landed and met her for the first time at the airport on a Wednesday night, I had about 6 days to settle whether to marry her or not, who wants a long distance relationship to just drag on? I decided by Saturday morning, but told her on Sunday. No need to rush things. After the proposal, I flew back to Canada and mailed her a few thousand dollars to get the wedding preparations done. We were married in September, and she flew here in May of the following year once the immigration paperwork was processed. In hindsight, I might have naively rushed things. haha BTW, we’re still happily married 14 years later.

This video is so helpful, and what every LDR need to know... When I first get into a relationship with my bf he told me we have to make it work by working on it. It reminds me how long distance relationship need a lot of effort from both parties. Tbh It's hard and there's a time we just get frustrated and argue, but communication and being honest for whatever you feel at the moment is important because you can't see,and be in each other arms.Now we're still living miles away from each other but we planned to get marry next year❤️ wishing all the best to anyone who in a long distance relationship!🥰

Well its different in my case...i was the one working..well i was a student 2nd yr of degree it was during covid when i met her, we both got close to eachother, fell for eachother she wanted to meet and we had some future plans together like marry travel and made lot promises "infact she used to say that i never leave her" , we used to be on calls, video calls for 24 hrs literally gave alot time to her we were there for eachother she did the same she helped me alot mentally and emotionally we literally talked abt everything, i also used to tell her that "there will be people and times that won't be in our favour and i want you to stay strong and trust me coz i won't leave you" tbh i really wanted to take care of her look after her uno... but yeah covid got over, i was in my final year i had to work hard clear my exams.. focus on to do something so that i can get to her and meet and work on our plans and dream...well didn't get enough quality time as i used to with her b4, tho i would update what im upto and ofcourse ask abt her health made calls during nights make her laugh feel loved and do as much as i can... yeah sometimes i would feel low too she never was trying to help or understand me, she was possesive or attention grabber in which i wasn't able to pay attention to her at those days , but yeah i had hope & it was her...and she got fed up said i dont give enough time to her i wasn't there much as i used , i don't make her feel loved, she cutted herself (ik she was lying) says i used her 😂🤚🏻(like frl & how), she wants to breakup, even tho i explained her and she knows what i was going through like it was strange to see her change all of a sudden , she asked for space alot of things ik of her were just changed but anyways i tried not to contact her but failed kept messaging her calling her begged her to come back i was worried abt her, she said we broke up (from her side and i didn't even agree and i told her)...but yeah i found out she was talking to some other dude, just coz he spent more time with her and i was working hard for her for us...and shattered the hell out of me, no trust , no loyalty, disbelief heartbroken crying, all the promises.. she started say "our relationship was shit", "he is a better man than you" and even tho i satisfy her, i started to Shake lot of grief and i am still going through it ..and as soon as we officially broke up the hour she went to this new dude... we were together for almost 3 years....we were in LDR was going to meet her this month Dec 2022 but 2 days b4 booking the flight this happend... and yeah she in LDR too with her new partner....it was love not a casual realtionship she knew it but she still went to him, sometimes i can't accept the fact that she is gone, i miss her, i immensely loved her alot....im really low and help?

@@matrix9046 I'm so sorry for what you've been through😭 even just by reading your comments makes my heart aches 💔it must be still really really hurt and shocking for the memories and the bond you shared already deeply rooted in your life, You've done a lot of things to save the relationship and I can tell you really love and care for her. Love meant to be last but we need two to make the love lasts . And sometimes, it sad but it's true we do have to let go when we already try everything we can but it just can't works anymore. And sometimes it's also when we realised our partners stop and don't want to paddling anymore. I believe everyone that view relationships seriously knows that it's not just about " I want to be the receiver" but it's when both parties giving and taking, to create a healthy and balance relationship. The stereotype of its always the man that have to gives and care for women is not it. But I know a nice person like you deserve to be happy! And happiness can be found in many things too. Like doing things that'll make you happy and make yourself busy with things,etc. As time goes by you'll find yourself completely moving on and even stronger than before. You have to, and I believe one day when the time comes they'll be someone out there somewhere, that'll treasure and loves you the way you do! So it's okay to being sad but please be strong for yourself! But hey you are amazing because I can tell you are amazing! Haha😁

My girlfriend and I have been long distance for over a year after we had been in a close-distance relationship for six months. Through this experience, I've found that although I miss being able to physically meet up with her, I feel like both of us have learned a lot during our time apart. One of our biggest challenges was during a time when she began feeling unsure about our future and despite these doubts, which I had at times as well, we talked about it and worked through it. I'm saving up money to visit her before the next academic year and we're planning on going camping!

Here are some things that I have learned. 1)It is important to manage your time at school or work, so that you can have enough time for them. 2)Playing videogames together is amazing. I only bought GTA V bc my bf plays it and I am happy that I did so. I spend my whole birthday evening and night with him.

Frankly? Yeah, I feel that I go through these stages over and over again. I've been in a long distance relationship for 3ish years now, and I would have to say, yeah, these stages are pretty accurate. I feel good when we have a nice call or chat session together, and then fall through the stages of 'everything is okay', to 'this sucks, I wish he were here', to 'is he happier not always being with me?', to 'I hate that he enjoys spending time without me', and finally back to 'I still love him, and I will get to speak to him soon. I don't have to worry'. Frankly, it is very, very difficult, especially when one person is super busy during the week, and takes their weekends to do stuff that they wanna do; which isn't a bad thing, but if you aren't one of the people that is able to do the stuff your partner wants to do? It kind of hurts, makes you think weird things, and the stage doubt sets in. But at the end of the night, we call and validation sets in for the next few days. It is a Rollercoaster ride, but in the end, it all works out. (:

This video really opened my eyes: I’m currently in a LDR and in stage 5 and 6 interchangeably. I’m really glad that it’s not just me who’s an emotional wreck and that it’s just the situation that’s rough. He’s currently making new friends as he just moved to Scotland (closer to me by a lot now but I live in England), and I haven’t seen him had so much fun going outside before. This was obviously a massive change and I’ve realised I need to just accept it and trust the process. I really want to overcome this because I know our relationship will be stronger than ever, but I do have to be patient. Here’s to happy, healthy and strong LDRs that last forever

PLEASE UPDATE ME!
@ball_gargler Жыл бұрын
@@lmorznawsk1200 I complete forgot about making this comment, but I’m more than happy to give an update. It has been around 8 months later, and things are a lot better. He realised that the friends he made in Scotland weren’t that genuine, so he’s stopped talking to most of them apart from a few (who were the ones I thought were genuine anyway so I fully trust his judgement). Through this process, I found that I was only really jealous of the fun he would have with his friends because subconsciously, I didn’t trust them and knew he could do better, but now that the friends he does hang out with are ones I find trustworthy, I don’t feel at all envious of them. But that’s not to say you should tell your partner to stop hanging out with their friends because you don’t like them. If your judgement is similar to one another’s and they’re mature, they will realise at some point, but you just have to be patient. I think our relationship now is a lot stronger, and we don’t have as many major issues anymore. I was lucky enough to also travel to Scotland to see him for nearly two weeks, where we celebrated our 1 year together. It was the best two weeks of my life. So be patient, and to make a relationship stronger, you have to work through problems together. But obviously, still have some sense to you. If they’re constantly not working with you on the relationship, that’s a major problem.

My boyfriend and I started out long distance. We met online. Were in two different states so we live 6 hours away from each other. While that’s not terrible it’s still really hard at times. Communication is what will make or break the relationship. You’re phone is your best friend. If you’re not a good communicator I would not recommend LDR. I have really bad separation anxiety so it can get hard at times. It’s been a little over a year and I couldn’t be happier. He was built in a factory specifically for me. I've been dating my boyfriend for about 4 years and about two years was spent in a long-distance relationship. I technically also have an LDR during school breaks when I have to go back home. It's always a hard thing to do, to depart with him and not be able to see him for such a long time. But one pro is that it builds up the excitement and mystery of being physically together again. There's been many times I've felt sick out of excitement because I also get super nervous to see him again. It is also a great way to prove and improve your trust in each other. The feeling that you'll always feel the same excitement to see each other again and not have a shadow of a doubt that they'll still love you or not having a single absence of affection. It's a hard commitment that is very rewarding in the end.

My husband went to college out of state. I was so lonesome and felt neglected and worried that he would find someone else. He felt pressured and mistakenly thought that I wanted him to quit. He moved back home and we got married and he transferred to a local school. He finished school with honors but without accumulating any debt since I continued to work. We’ve been married for 50 years.

it gets even harder when they actively ignore you, with no explainations, there's no way to keep the trust going if they don't let you in anymore

I feel like every relationship (in person or not) requires a lot of work and dedication. Yes, long distance relationships are more challenging but are incredibly rewarding at the same time. They are all about teamwork and communication. They can be successful ❤

I must admit, I'm in the jealousy and doubt stage. I love my partner dearly but the distance kills me, especially when they are busy and hardly ever text. It's hard and I feel like I'm putting my life on hold for him. But I'm learning to NOT do that; well try to. But I will do anything to make it work. So this video really did help put things in clarity for me.

In a long distance relationship, we finally met during our anniversary and he stayed here for 10 days and travelled 25 hours just to meet me. My family loves him and his too! He went here even if it is his first ever solo trip and first time riding a plane, he just turned 19 and he is only 3 months older than me. Did I mention that we only met in discord? Never lose hope, once you meet genuine people- you will recognise them anywhere. I love him so much, more than words can ever explain ❤

Same for me... But we talk different languages, so we're studying each other's languages for when we meet... But we both know english anyways..

My girlfriend and I broke up yesterday after being long distance. We loved each other very much and it has been very hard for both of us. I hope that no one has to experience the grief of losing your significant other. It's truly a realm of hell that you never want to experience. I know that time will heal but it's so hard losing the person you love so much. And there is nothing I could do to fix it.

i just got into a long distance relationship two weeks ago. i wont be seeing my partner for 10 months. it's been a huge rollercoaster of emotions. and at times i think i will never survive this mentally. but videos like these help me a lot and i feel more and more confident that we can make this.

I'm here after having years of experience in LDR and i can say it's pretty addictive when you get creative about trying something new together everytime u could call / video call / play / watch things together / talk limitless about everything u could literally share ur life together except the physical existence you just have to endure this fact and live with it till u make it reachable which would make the relationship reach a whole new level . However you have to be careful of failing the other side down by quiting after he/she trusted u so bad that he was trying to do anything for it to survive doesn't matter what happens just don't quit u will regret it and you wouldn't be able to get into any other relationship for so long since u gave so much energy in the last one

The timing couldn't be better... I broke up with my long distance boyfriend four days ago... It was a mutual decision. We both love each other and we didn't have any other major problem in the relationship apart from the distance. We realised that we couldn't handle it. Everything was so good when we were together that when we were apart it was really frustating. Also, the lack of a common future together was making me very anxious. Edit: we first met summer last year, we stayed in contact, but we didn't became a couple until two months ago, so we started long distance. I just watched the video and it's more about relationships who started close distance and then became long distance.

We are the same. But he was the one who broke up with me. It's due to distance, he wanted someone who can be there for him physically. We also lack common future together. But even though it's like that, I would definitely make my future be aligned with him. We met last autumn and I really felt we've known each other for so long. Probably more like a soulmate thing. But then reality of life has to happen.. even so I have enjoyed and loved him truly even if it was long distance and 7 months only. If fate allows and if he is really for me, we will be.

my boyfriend and I had been together for 5 years since we were 14.... against all ods, our relationship has survived. now we are in college and he might be leaving our home country forever. seeing this video hits hard when youve grown together with your partner, you spend every single day with them, you lived your first relationship, your first kiss, your first brand new car, everything. the thought of him leaving kills me inside. but love is love, even when theres distance between it.

LDR is definitely not for every couple. It really depends on both's love languages, preferences, and willingness to commit. I didnt event think of entering a long distance relationship but my boyfriend works on a cruise for at least 8 months and goes home only for 2 months. He just left a few days ago for his job and I got used to it already. It really is hard in the beginning but it takes two to learn how to manage and maintain the relationship. :) I miss him, though. UPDATE: my boyfriend is going home in January 2022 😊 and yeah, I am well aware of the adultery and cheating that are happening amongst cruise employees. My bf tells me stories haha. I only hold on to trust, that he wont betray me. Likewise, I dont break his trust. It goes bothways. Hell, I am only his long term GF haha he better not play with me. So far, we haven't had any issues with any of his colleagues/girl co-workers. We are already past 4 years so that trust has been built through time. 💗

Here with you on this one, my boyfriend just got on a plane to travel half around the world to get on a cruise as an officer, his dream job, his dream ship, his away for 4 months, then back home for two, back on for 4, breaks my heart everytime he leaves, but his my home and I support him. I know that in a week or so, I'll get used to it, but damn I want him here with me. It's worth it on the long run, if it makes you happy.

Only stage I go through is the realization that we will be together one day. I don't worry about all that other drama or getting jealous.
