ehh actually gold does have intrinsic value the fact that it's used in electronics and jewelry makes it valuable.
@khaoscero4 жыл бұрын
a) nothing has intrinsic value, people ascribe value by consensus b) the value of gold doesnt come from its minimal industrial use, and everyone who says this knows better, otherwise its price wouldnt be that high. its high because people buy it for speculation and value, and store it and not use it, aka create scarcity. Bitcoin is the hardest asset ever made. It can be sent by anyone to anyone without anyone being able to stop it. Without paper work or permissions. Within minutes. Also decentralized banking for everyone via Eth and other smart contracts, which will usher a complete transformation for the banking and payment sector. Boomers who don't understand crypto are the same people who didnt understand the use of the internet in the 90s.
@bryanh82924 жыл бұрын
Khaos Cero I understand that but then you could argue that with any crypto all bitcoin has going for it is that it was one of the first few and a lot of early adopters. Once a new and improved version is released what would be the incentive of using bitcoin other then the fact it’s one of the first few. Imo it’s not also not a physical thing so even if gold were to lose all of its speculative value it would still be worth something. I think crypto will definitely revolutionize finance I just don’t think it’s going to be because of bitcoin rather better competitors.

If you have 1M in all your accounts, you'd buy 2,940 worth of btcn and it turns into 20 million (and counting). 500k net worth? You'd only risk 1470. 250k net worth? Equivalent of only risking 735. They could have nearly afforded to buy 5% @ $7, and beat the rumoured Satoshi walletS, but in a single address. Remembering they still got more profit sharing of FB stock since 500M, that went up. This talk perfectly complements the story as i noticed 'social network' Winklevii, 'bitcoin billionaire' Winklevii, and real life Winklevii are 3 completely different experiences as i found videos testimony through all this. Actually got me pondering the process of writing a story. BUT if theres one thing that is spot on, its gotta be zuckerberg. The fact he named it libra says it all. Granted all this is speculative gambles and fear in the markets but glad to see the twins get their justice as the real twins seem like decent guys.
