What an incredible species to be able to encounter in the wild, glad you were able to capture some amazing footage and present so much great ecological information! I didn't realize that this species constructed ponds a-la-alligators here in the U.S, just another way that they are ecologically invaluable.

This was literally a dream come true, one of the most surreal animal encounters we’ve ever had, by far. Not necessarily an easy shoot, as you’ll experience when you’re there, but totally worth it to see the tortoises in the wild. It surprised me just how pronounced their ecosystem impact is, it is definitely comparable to alligators in many ways. Thanks for watching Ben!

Whether this video tanks or not, it’s still an incredible and surreal feeling to have actually gotten to make content of our own about these animals that we’ve been obsessed with since we were kids. We really appreciate the support man!

Torts 1, humans -1. Man, we sure mess a lot of things up around this globe. Those Galapagos torts have it dialed in if we'd just leave them alone.

It is unfortunate to see how much damage people have done to the tortoises, but there’s a lot to be encouraged about as well. Lots of people are working really hard every day to protect these animals and share them with the world, we’re glad to be a small part of it. Thanks for watching Rob!

Such elegant creatures. Yeah this reminds me the challenge of ecological education content, ecosystem engineers are really interesting but such a hard sell (or shell)😂 sometimes.

They really are, some of the most surreal animals to be around that I’ve ever encountered. Tortoises certainly aren’t liked by the algorithm, but it was such a dream come to true to shoot a video with them that I don’t mind. We’ll have to go back and film them again!

They would indeed, not terribly practical to keep though I’m afraid. They essentially act as lawnmowers in the areas where they live, they consume a staggering amount of vegetation. Thank you for watching!
