STARGATE ATLANTIS fans were obviously disappointed when the show was cancelled after five seasons. The producers wanted to continue (and had outlined story ideas for a sixth season), and the Ancient city was never meant to abandon the Pegasus Galaxy in its struggle with the Wraith.
Enter FANDEMONIUM, the U.K.-based publisher of Stargate's licensed novels. After it became clear that Atlantis wasn't going to get its on-screen continuation, editor Sally Malcolm and her writers pitched MGM on a book series that would continue the storyline out past the final episode, "Enemy At the Gate." The extraordinarily popular STARGATE ATLANTIS: LEGACY series was born, and today it stretches over eight books and various novellas and short stories.
