It always amazed how one booth brother saved a Lincoln, while the other killed a Lincoln. And all the parallels between Lincoln and Kennedy were always spooky as well. To think, he signed a bill to start the secret service (for counterfeit money) the day he died.

Having studied Lincoln’s life thoroughly over the decades, I firmly believe that he had established the moral authority to significantly change the way African Americans were viewed and treated in this country had he lived. I’m not naive enough to believe that racism would have been eradicated, but the place Lincoln would have moved it to is evidenced by his publicly stated desire for AA men to have the vote, a right which would not be accorded to women until 1920. Lincoln’s loss to this country is incalculable.

Major Henry Rathbone attacked his children in a rage one December night in 1883, he then fatally shot and stabbed his wife Clara Harris (who had been in the President’s box with Rathbone), he then stabbed himself in the chest five times trying to commit suicide. He was declared insane and held in a German insane asylum (he was U.S consul to Hanover at the time) and died there in 1911.

As soon as Lincoln did not have to get reelected by a racist nation, he immediately made it clear he did favour Votes for African-Americans and that he now opposed the American supported Colonization of land in Africa or Central/ South America for freed slaves positions in what was a massive public u-turn.

According to the book The Lincoln Conspiracy by David Balsiger published in 1977 Booth escaped Washington DC with a smuggler friend named Ed Henson and NOT David Herold. The book also says that Lewis Thornton Powell and Lewis Payne were 2 different people and although Lewis Powell carried out the attack on Steward Lewis Payne was found guilty. The book says confession statements by O'Laughlin and Atzerodt state that Payne and Powell were separate individuals. Evidence indicates that Payne was arrested and framed for his cousin, Powell's evil deed. Is any of this true? These facts in The Lincoln Conspiracy book differ from what I have read in all the other Lincoln Assassination books. The Lincoln Conspiracy book also says a man named James William Boyd was killed in Garrett's barn ant NOT Booth. Is that true?

@@soslothfulthere is a lot of evidence it was James William Boyd they killed in the barn and not Booth. Anyone interested can watch a KZbin video called: Did John Wilkes Booth avoid capture and live another 40 years? He goes over a lot of the evidencein that video.

Shame they missed the vice president. Johnson is probably one of the worst presidents because of his southern sympathies and refusal to do anything to protect Freeman.

Sic Semper Tyrannis (pronounced “sick” “semper” “tie-ran-is”) ‘Thus always to Tyrants’ is not only Booth’s line but is also the state motto of Virginia. The lady in the video mispronounced it .
