The beauty of a narcissistic person is they force you to become a better person. They don't realize it, but you don't see their faults and begin a process to better yourself to keep them. The problem is, as you become better, they will beat you back down. If you realize this, cherish the better person you are becoming and then do it for yourself. That's when you give up on them and notice all the wonderful things about yourself. They basically gave you new personal toys and tools to move on in life with 💞

Narcissists want to play the blame game, projecting everything onto you for things they know they've done, or are doing wrong. What they hate most is having a guilty conscience. Hence their 'lashing out' in defensiveness. They don't want to he reminded of what they know they're guilty of because that would mean having to come clean and say they're sorry, and since narcissists are all about ego, saying sorry is not in their vocabulary.

I allowed all of my boundaries to be crossed, thinking that the things that I compromised were going to prove to them how much I loved them. I wish that I knew all of these things then. I denied all of the signs. They got me back for seeing their mask slip, and trying to communicate with them that the behaviors weren't how people who love one another, treat each other. They discarded me in the worst way, with zero care or thought to my shattered heart. I will NEVER love myself that little again. Lesson learned. Remember... You can not help them. What would a narcissist be when he puts out that he's extremely caring to others, even donates his time, Opposite almost as to when he Becomes self centric and mean/spiteful narcissistic?? THAT is how my Narc tricked me. He love bombed me by being a love bomber to everyone in the beginning... It felt inauthentic, even though it looked genuine...(He knew my personality type was attracted to person's who were service to others)... It quickly changed once we moved in with one another, to him controlling what time i got out of bed (because if i was up before him, even though i have an autoimmune diseases and HAD to get up, "HE couldn't sleep when I was out of bed and he had told me so before" so it was MY fault), he would argue with me that if I were to be up before him, that would be perceived that I deeply disrespected him by not coming back in the bedroom after an hour (no longer than two hours though) to tell him I'm NOT coming back to bed. It was"bad communication" on my part he said... Once we even argued (when I decided to move in together with him and it was right before my move out of state with him) about while I was camping with my family (saying good bye to them all) as I was about to move in with him 1,900 miles away... That it WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE that I hadn't contacted him at least every two hours! 😂 Where my phone didn't have a signal, so I'd have to literally drive from camp to town every two hours so that he got his "time" with me and felt like i respected him. I should've seen it then...😔 He was such a smooth operator though! Seriously😠😳. he could charm the pants off of you. When he did something so obviously abusive, his love bombing would poor on so thick, and he'd jump quickly into "help every one else out" mode, offering his charity, time, physical work and his kindness to everyone around him. It was SUPER creepy to see such wickedness that contraindicated his"kindness", which would manifest right in from of me in literally seconds. 🤔😮😯 I'm thinking maybe he's borderline personality disorder?

Yes indeed. I belive fb is like its owner Mark Z. He's created a forum of all narcs and touts it as to keep family together. I hate fb and use it just to keep track of games. My pic is my dog. Shes on point. Long story short stopped associating with bro drug addict (steals, left h in my home, telling me something didn't happen). Lived in San Francisco with my kids after divorce. Let the bro fix my car (I know better but said ok). Two cops show up at my door saying do I own a 74 Mustang license plate #). I said yes sir whats wrong? He says someone drove down a street racing almost ran over someone. I started crying and said my bro is supposed to be fixing my car! They said ok and left. I called my bro and told him cops at my door whats going on?!? He says "Sis the cops were not at the door you just imagined it." After I said ok he hang up. I can't curse him out as he would have smashed my car. After 3 months of not getting my car back I went to the garage to get it back. To my horror my car inside was destroyed! A plier was sticking out where the key goes in the ignition. Buckets seats burned with cigarette holes, tons of women's underwear and fifty clothes in the backseat and a rag in the gas instead of a cap. The owner came out saw my shocked face. He said he would buy it from me. I said ok gave me cash. I'm sobbing with my little kids. Bro screaming at me in public to PAY HIM FOR the "work" he did. I walked away he's cursing me down the street. Walked to the Department of Vehicle told them I sold my car. They ran the tickets. The computer took 20 minutes to print out 200 pages of violations. Glad I did. The guy who bought the car had to pay. I don't know how I got home. Told mom she said im a liar. Called dad who married someone else now said bro has problems just move on The rage I felt I can't describe. This was 1985. Move forward 2021 I finally told nutcase get out of my life. I haven't felt so good in all my life!!!! For some reason my life is so smooth and nice now. I'm like u the life is awesome. Yeah but personally I’m always grateful to get the validation and information that this stuff actually happens and so it wasn’t all in my head as I was made to believe for my own 2yrs experience. Had a year away from it as of this week and it’s taking me longer to get over this than it did a relaxed and loving 10yr relationship which was my first relationship and at the time I didn’t know how I’d move on yet it was still easier than an emotionally abusive controlling one where you think I’d be glad to escape… ahh, thank you ‘trauma bonding’. That’s how messed up this type of abuse is that it holds on tight. Also lost one of my friends I think because he’s making out there’s two sides (ok) but he never actually met my ex once due to it being over the 2yr epidemic. So these videos can still help long after something is “over”. Over for the abuser, not over for the person on the receiving end.

Married 8 years to narcissistic who was so charming and witty! Never heard about narcissism.but only knew he was quite moody and needed constant praise and adoration/affirmation that he was the best dentist, tennis player and best lover, etc. Then he became verbally abuse and then physically abusive. He was like a child in a grown man’s body!! I was raising his 3 young children (1mine) and he refused to help with anything except to go to work at his dental practice. Finally could no longer take physical and mental abuse I finally knew I could not take anymore!! So I told him calmly one afternoon that I wanted an divorce for I had no respect for him anymore!! He had been saying for 2 Yrs that he wanted.a divorce! He immediately exclaimed .” I don’t want a divorce!!” The divorce was quite acrimonious and took 5 yrs. Never never date a person who shows no interest, concern nor compassion for other people including YOU!!

Glad you got out. That sounds exhausting! I know it takes courage to leave. Tbf, in my case he showed some interest, he would ask a question and would listen. But when I asked for advice or occasionally vented he would be nonchalant. I told him that, he just laughed it off. Meanwhile when he vented and such, I would take the time to listen and "cry with him" if you will. He said he was stoic - emotionally unavailable. He said he was confident - narcissist... bc of his _confidence_ he will not be changing his ways

It’s always to start a fight. I choose not to sleep on in her bed because she isn’t my wife. I serve Jesus and I have convictions about having sex outside of marriage and I also have convictions of just the feeling of lust stirring up in me just by lying next to her. I had sex with her a few times and usually in the past I would be the one that had issues performing in bed. Thank God she isn’t able to have sex due to hormonal imbalances. Works for me lol. I had a boyfriend like this. I was so confused why he wanted everyone to hate me. When you love someone don't you want everyone else to like them too? Our relationship ended when his friends witnessed how horrible he was to me and called him out. We were staying out of town at this friends house and the three of us ended up locking ourselves in a room and he was out in the living room on his own. One of them said "what's happening to him right now is what he wanted for you". The next day he hated me so much. He was perfectly fine with his friends, the anger was all towards me. He would yell at me over the slightest thing, even in front of children. It was OTT. His friend ended up buying me a bus ticket home coz she worried he was going to kill me if I went with him. It was a 1.5 hour drive to our home town. I was actually worried about him after this happened and texted him. He was so hateful and wasn't sorry at all.

@@christiansandiford3919 it is not gender specific. Women can be narcissists too. & There are videos on this channel about narcissistic mothers, and ones that say he or she. It's about traits, behaviors, & isn't limited to any other category, culture, ethnicity, economic situation, or whatever. It's bc part of the brain is not engaged (empathy for instance but other things and info is available on what) & other parts are too much, & low self esteem plus extremely self-centered arrogance plays a role too. Look up in May Clinic or the American Psychiatric Association or DSM 5 or a reliable medical source what the markers or symptoms or behaviors are & then watch more videos here bc she nails it - explains it more clearly than anyone else I've ever seen or read. It takes 5 minutes to look it up & helps when watching bc you'll get the picture, what else is up, if she's talking about a specific way narcissists act or affect people.

Well! You have that nailed. I am over it all now from a narcissist I was married to for 27 years, I nearly died from neglecting my own needs. However this was a great reminder and confirming how I felt about those years with new information. These people are so complicated and cause such chaos in the minds of others and waltz off seemingly without a care in the world, but alas, it's not true. They struggle with major rejection and keep doing what they do thinking they are protecting themselves...but of course that thinking brings their victim back to feeling guilt. Get off that merry-go-round with intermittent roller coaster rides. Let Holy Spirit take care of them.

Ive been through that with a roommate. I was basically the one bringing in the dough...since it was her place, already.....she had a extract room because I was in need of it. She exploited the hell out of it. I had to give her money for rent( which she didn't have to pay rent) .... And I still had to pay the light bill all by myself. She always use to praise herself and belittle other people, especially me( I was the closest target. She could be good at times....but it was always to throw it back in your face. Getting to know narcissistic properties....I realize I've been around them my whole life. Better them than me though...I know myself to be a happy, joyful person..... unlike them who are really miserable inside. It's very sad, really!

Going through the same thing. My mom abandoned me at the age of 42. I have a brother 2 years older than me. When my mom told me to get out of her house and don’t come to her funeral, I have yet to hear from either of them in 9 months. I was homeless and without family. 9 months it took me 9 months to get stabled and in my own place after being homeless.

When you know who they are, they also turn everyone against you. Since they cannot control you, they try to control how people see you. I had to escape and move to another city to protect myself. I live my independent grandma life far away now, but it's so sad to know my son is voluntarily drowning himself out there without me being able to do anything, except getting closer again and be destroyed myself. Probably in his attempt to survive, he tried to drag me in his own destruction caused by the narc, especially money and emotionally. He is probably losing his house now. I tried to open his eyes during one year, visiting him each week in jail when he was there because of her, trying to "debrainwash" him, but with no success. So I finally moved far away in order not to be destroyed myself. I still have a relationship with one of the kid, but I perfectly know they will turn the kids against me eventually. I keep praying for my son and the kids.

I am much like you. My husband is the Narc who has tried to poison my children. My daughter has become a narc in the meantime and because I left because of abuse she is trying to destroy me from every side of my life that was meaningful. It is so shocking the new lies and declaration she takes up when people don’t believe the last one. She doubles down. So does my husband. It is crushing and yet empowering because now I know where my insecurities were coming from and my stomach dropping, It was them both who hated peoples loving me and liking what I did to serve my daughter and husband. There is a difference between voluntarily serving their family to their family now treating them like a slave not a voluntary mother/wife serving them with food and keeping their time at home a better experience. Just fascinating how this devil has really taken over my family. It’s so sad, crushing to ones heart and it is shocking how it ruins so many peoples lives and families

6 yrs. ago i was invited to "a trip of a lifetime". In hindsight i realize that i had booked my return trip for far too long with no Plan B ($ in the bank). I didn't know her well enough cuz i thought her benevolent reputation within the community was genuine (mask). It took me a month to realize her masking, passive-agressive, controlling personality which expected praise & deference. In her mind, i suppose; i deserved to be punished for daring to disagree with her and every other day she made up a new rule. She manufactured a 1 & 1/2 page email of my so-called "wrongs" (her distortion of how events happened). I was so shocked that i did not respond and i did not want to be in a place of defending myself to someone who was determined to brow-beat me with her version of reality (re-written the story) cuz she was not to be argued with in her (entitled) Rightness. To add insult to injury she flew back to Vancouver, B.C. Canada to the Carnegie community centre to make sure that everyone got her version of what a horrible guest i was. Her character assasination of me. I was hurt/angry that i felt shunned/ostracized and no one asked me for my Story.

I'd try to think of the different ways I should respond when he started saying certain things. But it never mattered what I did it always ended the same way. I'm the kind of person who hates conflict and he would start a fight over literally nothing. It didn't help that he was psychotic and thought he could read my mind. He would accuse me lying every day. Even things as mundane as 'have you seen this movie?" If I said no he'd say that I have. There is a saying "are they mad or just bad?" I wondered that a lot. I would forgive him because he has a mental illness but then I would wonder if he is faking it. Now I'm out of the situation I think he is both mad and bad.
