Hi there. Have you tested cutting or engraving acrylic? I believe there are certain colors that don't cut or cut well. Would love to know. Thank you for all the info you provided in the video.

Nice video! Can you engrave brass bolsters and engrave designs into the hard wood handles on knives as well?

Yes on wood have not tried brass so not sure but I think so. no problem on steel and stainless steel

What I do regarding putting the cone on is.. I use the PC software you indicated change the value from 1 to 20 or 30 and move it up. Them once it's on move back down same amount

That’s a really helpful tip. I haven’t used the computer app yet because there was some warning about how to upgrade either the firmware or software. I don’t recall which. Been too busy to mess with it much

You lost me on change the value? Is there a setting that moves it up in larger increments? Or are your just counting 20 or 30 clicks

Where it says 1 you can change it to any number you want. Then click up once/ down once

Also the buttons on the LP still go up in Increments, so that’s a perfect solution for setting your focus and then using the PC software to just get the hood out of the way. Fantastic trip.

1064 MN Laser 100 power 50 depth 1 pass for the engraving on knives for Black. For the earpods I used the default plastic settings I did blacken the case with sharpie first. There are some post from others with some other recommendation settings in the Laser Pecker Users Group on Facebook

How big is your exhaust hose? I have not been able to find the LP air purifier on their site yet, and I’m wondering if I can buy one from a different brand and use it…but I can’t find any information about the diameter of the exhaust hose needed. (I am waiting for my LP 4 to arrive!)

My hose is a 2 1/2 inch but I just got the one from laser pecker in the mail and that one’s a little bigger looks like maybe 3 inch on the metal exhaust hose they are selling so I’m wondering if the smoke unit and vented box are going to be 3 inch. 2 1/2 pvc hose matches the fan perfectly. I also built a temporary vent hood I will put the video out soon it only cost me $25 from something I found at Costco

@@ALXSHARPEN Thanks! I am waiting very impatiently for mine. I ordered the vent hood with it, as well as the rotary and flatbed accessories. I am excited to get it-but a little dismayed to see all these comparison videos coming out saying the XTool F1 is better. Ugh.

@@cynthiasymons I have been pretty happy with mine and I believe they will get the kinks worked out in time so far for me it’s done what I was looking for for my business and haven’t tried any of the advanced accessories. I did purchase all of them and have them all but still just learning it. I would like to try light burn but am waiting until the basic software isn’t doing enough for me.

Well if you’re going to hold it against a wall or a big object it will keep the fumes from blowing directly at you but other than that and really small things it’s not that useful-It would help if they could put a memory on the height adjustment then it would be more useful.
