I love how Antony Starr, the actor who plays Homelander, completely destroys his image as a villain in any interview. He clarifies, "Homelander is terrible; he is a narcissist, a psychopath." Usually, actors lean into their characters a bit to attract more attention, but as a result, the image of a villain or a funny character sticks with them forever. For example, you can't imagine Tom Holland as a villain

Dude… you care more about a irrelevant show than you do about how one person moving like he’s untouchable. So due to most of the accusers were mostly adult men at the time, you guys brush off the depth and sincerity of these allegations. If the allegations were about Kevin Spacey assaulting children or the lower class then you’d be the same person foaming at the mouth for heads to roll. Your hypocrisy is disgusting and concerning. You are NOT these people’s friends, confidants or even associates. A man that rich could move anywhere in the world but he chose to stay in the industry, knowing how demented and sickening it is in the dark. I can totally see Spacey at secret “Diddy parties” with “The best” and most influential of em. It’s a slippery slope and those elite actors are most certainly narcissistic, habitual liars & psychopaths who move like Patrick Batemen. They’re praised for it as if they’re the embodiment of human perfection but in actuality they’re the most broken and damned amongst us. Playing on both absolute sides of righteousness and demented behavior. They crack hard behind the scenes, to the point where they’re doing drugs the proliferate their psychosomatic symptoms. To dismiss mountains of accusations from real working class people because you enjoy a man’s craft is disgusting behavior. Nasty work against your fellow man. Ik this is a lot but he’s definitely equipped enough to get away with it. Payoffs, NDAs, Threatening calls and so on…Kevin Spacey isn’t Hitler but there’s Holocaust deniers out there who genuinely believe Hitler did no wrong…some JUST because they feel like his art was stunning or some thinking they could’ve fixed him..please, grow up and catch up to the rest of us.

Just so it’s clear,not guilty doesn’t = innocent. OJ is a perfect example of that. That doesn’t mean that a verdict like that means nothing,but sometimes the details surrounding the accusations themselves are more important than the verdict. 1 accusation could be false,3 may be a hit job,but when there’s dozens you should start questioning why so many people are consistently claiming you’ve displayed this behavior
@sinaborji46482 ай бұрын

@mmefett51222 ай бұрын
Use the same argument for the accusers. Just because he has a lot of people accusing him, doesn't make him guilty. They could easily be paid off by a higher up that doesn't like Spacy. Is it coincidence that everytime he went to court the people prosecuting him either "lost" evidence or have none when there should be loads?
@wrx1th8732 ай бұрын
Yeah, agreed, just like Casey Anthony's case. The whole world believed she was guilty including me.
@searsino2 ай бұрын
Just so we are clear, the notion of being innocent until proven guilty should always take precident. You should not be more inclined to cast aside somebody based on any number of accusations. I completely and totally reject this idea that we must speculate as to somebodies wrongdoings absent of any physical proof or evidence on the contrary. Even if there is a 1% chance a person might be innocent, it's not a chance you should be willing to ignore. It will ruin the life and reputation of a person. Protecting the innocent is far more important than rushing into self-created theories for how a crime was commited. And that is not even addressing the extremely untimely way in which everyone came forward against Spacey. #MeToo was unironically so damaging to the planet. We saw a wave of baseless accusations amidst the real ones which has lead to this "guilty until proven innocent" fallacy becoming the norm. It has to stop. There is no benefit to speculation absent of real tangeable evidence.

It seems like once the press and some people smell blood in the water with regards accusations made against a famous person, it creates a situation where it's open season on trying to see what you can get? And with other high profile cases of people in the movie business being accused and in some cases found guilty as well as all the Me Too stuff, it just all seemed to come out at the same time? Like people were just trying their luck at getting some compensation during all this time period? Pretty weird.

I love his roles and acting so much. I can't deny that a person from his tier is most likely able to corrupt the law system and sex crimes are hard to prosecute, etc. But it's also not fair to make the opposite conclusions "even if all charges got cleared, he must have corrupted the system, so he's still guilty in my eyes + victims and witnesses died suspiciously, he must have something with their deaths"... I think we should not "cancel" people if they are not guilty yet, maybe just be cautious of someone's future behaviour and mistakes. I would love to see him in good movies again, but I doubt that the extremely vocal cancel culture, that think they are some moral arbiter that know better and are saints themselves, will allow this to happen sadly

The word you're looking for is "ephebophilia" or "hebephilia". Still wrong, still illegal but not the same thing as pdf-filia, which is objectively worse by every metric. Misusing words and trying to bastardize/mutilate the definitions to become more and more broad, is ridiculous. It's why we have smooth brains calling Leonardo Dicaprio a PDF file now for dating mid twenty year olds. You'll also have to start labeling like half the planet as PDF files as well, so that's something. Words have meaning and there has to be distinction. You can't just water down and blend words together to include everything that's remotely similar just because they're both gross/weird/wrong/illegal.
