Hey everyone! Starting next Wednesday (October 4th), all future Hidden Stories will be migrating to a new, separate channel for clarity and simplicity. All of the current stories will still remain up on this channel, but all new videos moving forward will be posted on the new "Hidden Stories" KZbin channel here: www.youtube.com/@hiddenstoriesYT. If you want to continue keeping up with the weekly stories and my Hidden Stories series, subscribe to this new channel ✌

It’s sad, but this often seems the case of children who were kidnapped. And that’s understandable too. Her real parents are basically strangers to her. And although they’ve been thinking about them everyday since her disappearance, she herself never knew about them so didn’t miss them like they did. I can imagine it’s quite overwhelming to have someone who’s a stranger to you have so much love for you and want to spend all their time with you, to make up for lost time. And a lot of these kids did have fairly good upbringings with their kidnappers and so they have good relationships with them. They were raised by them, so it’s natural for them to see the kidnapper as “mom” still. It’s a lot to be told your whole life had been a lie.

I remember the story of a small boy who went missing after going on a camping trip. It was in the 18th or 19th century? Definitely not recent. The distraught mom claimed a boy similar to hers was HER BABY BOY. And courts agreed. Years later the grandson (whose now in recent generation) or something did a dna test, that confirmed that boy … who was his great grandfather? Was not related to the family. The extended family were so hurt by that test…

I feel horrible for Netty. Imagine how hard this is for her knowing that you family you've known your entire life isn't really your family, feeling betrayed, yet they've never done anything bad to you so you love them. But then your real family hates them and the media hates the. It must be so conflicting and stressful and confusing.

Poor girl. It seems as though no one really had her back. While I can't imagine one of my children going missing, I especially can't understand how her bio parents didn't at least get some education or help with how she must feel after a lifetime of lies. Whether her "mom" was her bio mom or not, she is who raised her. All those interviews and attention couldn't be any help in her own personal hell. I hope she is finding her own help, which unfortunately seems to be the only help she's ever really gotten 😢 Prayers and best wishes, Nettie

What I think is so tragic about this situation is that Netty's REAL parents didn't have good advice or the wisdom to back off and slowly develop a relationship with their own daughter. Someone should have advised them to take it slow and definitely not attack the perpetrator because their daughter was bonded and connected to the perpetrator and not with them (yet). It was so evil of the lamestream media to force the fake affection FOR THE CAMERAS so their can get their STORY. Personally I think the woman who abducted this baby should stay in prison much longer than 12 years in prison. This woman basically created a Stockholm like syndrome where Netty is now more loyal to the perpetrator than her own real mother who ❤loved❤ her and was actively looking for her for YEARS. Hopefully the real Mom can learn to listen to her daughter, be sensitive to her wishes, and learn to develop good communication and love over time. The real Mom must learn to never attack the perpetrator of this crime as Netty has (sadly) developed a strong bond with her. If the real Mom learns to do this, over time I think as Netty looks at her own children she will on her own realize how evil and wrong this action was.

Coming from an adoption that either was illegal or should have been and being unable to find out anything concerning my birth parents and having a set of genetic disorders I get this so well. The flip side is my adoptive parents where crap so at least there is no strong family connections there to hold me to their mistakes. At this point, despite all the advantages I might get medically there is no motivation to dig into this. Even if some genetic family is around, it would just be more strangers bothering me.

In fact, I'm more amazed the bio mom didn't realize wishing bad on a woman who loved your child would alienate your child.

These people are honestly unbelievable. They’re so insanely selfish without thinking about the family of that child while completely hiding the truth and manipulating the child. I dont sympathise with Ann one bit and she should’ve thought about the concequences before doing what she did.

hopefully they all ended up on a good way, be karma or relationship the parents suffer from kidnapping; the kidnapper although wrong still showed a good mother (and family) dispite drug addiction, thats very hard to control; the family from both sides; and she herself, to find out living a “lie”, fighting media twisting stories for the worse, rage from the true parents, losing a “trustworthy enough” parent, unwanted attention.. a lot to take in from all angles to and from everyone involved
