Have they timed him? If it bothers other players they should raise the issue and the warning should given promptly. Before that you're allowed to slack, and after that you still have the 30s nobody can take away from you.

The reason it's NOT fine that Gannon takes extra time is the sake of the other players. I'm sorry if Gannon needs a full minute to mentally prepare himself and play well but too bad. It's against the rules and in a way, cheating. Others shouldnt have to wait in the hot sun or backed up on a tee pad so that Gannon can feel comfy... Making an exception for Worlds is ludacris, as rules should be MORE strictly enforced in the biggest tourney. Thanks!

I wonder how many other pros had time violation warnings this week? Gannon needs to adjust his routine accordingly. That time rule is in place for a reason. He should have to adjust to the rules of the game. Not, adjust the rules to accommodate him.

Gannon can hurry it up, he’ll be fine. I say hit him with the stroke penalty. It’s makes it not as fun to watch and I imagine it’s frustrating for other players on his card. Can’t have rules and not enforce them or people will take advantage. Whatever happened to the time outs?

Can't feel sorry for Gannon, especially when he complains. It is disrespectful to viewers, an more importantly the other players. His "rhythm" throws everyone else's off. He is a pro, he knows the rules and this has been an issue with him since day 1. He clearly is not willing to adjust and appears to be saying screw it. This is why people are leaving golf. It needs to be nipped in bud.

What pros have come out to say that Gannon's pace of play negativity affects them? I think this is more speculation than actual facts. Gannon is young, yes, but from what I've noticed from other pros he plays with, he is also very mature for his age. I'm curious why there was an official allegedly targeting him on his times when he wasn't even on the lead card. I follow each round on the PDGA site and I didn't see any backup the first couple rounds by cards near Gannons.

This comments section has no idea what they're talking about. Gannon for sure has worked on his time usage. The dude in this video makes a very valid point that it's going to be the high-profile player with time violation history that gets picked on. It's also left for a random, likely untrained tournament official to make that call. It's also a bad rule because it only looks at a tiny percentage of time usage - you could be taking all the time in the world in between lies, but only the time after you mark your lie is measured. Don't get me wrong, rules are rules and they need to be followed, but the point of this rule is maintaining good pace of play, and the way it's being approached is backwards.

Gannon is just being a MASSIVE cry baby... seriously. no sympathy for him at all. being a disc golfer myself for over 15 years and have played in hundreds of tournaments, I know that it does NOT take that long to make your throw. especially for touring players!! They have multiple practice rounds to know the course and find out what shot they are going to throw during the tournament. so when the tournament comes around, they already know what shots and discs they are going to throw. they should be able to make their throw in 15-20 seconds realisticaly speaking. Gannon needs to grow the hell up and make adjustments to his game and stop blaming the rules for his bad play.....

Gannon is not special, and should not have any exceptions made for him to take longer than the rules state to make his throw. He NEEDS to speed up his play. If vendors did feel the price is too steep, its pretty simple don't pay and don't have your brand at worlds. Spirit of worlds is to allow cheating? That is a wild take. In the spirit of worlds lets also allow foot faults, mulligans and count all spit outs...
