I had the unprecedented pleasure of knowing Sriks during his senior school years in CGS (Canberra Grammar School). I was three/four years his senior. I remember him as a slightly shy lad who played chess, and had a good (if slightly quirky) sense of humor. He was a bright kid and could study anything he wanted. But back then, I'm pretty sure no-one would have guessed that professional gaming would be Sriks' career path. But equally, we all knew that whatever Sriks decided on, he would have excelled at it. And excel he did. Go far and the ol' CGS boys are rooting for you! 💪

Something I've noticed in the recent videos are the slow down effects. They really help when explaining and presenting a players strategy when edgeguarding to be more understandable.

Sriks coming out of nowhere and dominating so many top players is awesome. I've never heard of him until Boss Battles, so this video helps me get more informed on him. I really love his consistency at punishing air dodges and jumps, because I love doing that, too! Sriks is probably one of my favorite players, now, ESPECIALLY after seeing this 4:28. I swear people tell me edge-guarding Steve this way is "not optimal" lol. Thank you, PGStats!

Sriks been up and about for sometime now. Ive been watching him since SWT Oceania online qualifier. Its just that the attention to Aussie scene was pretty much limited until BAM and Phantom being part of SWT circuit. Back then, he used Roy but now hes definitely opted Seph into his main. It rly is good to see Sriks and other Aussies break out more lately I have a list of up and coming character reps that usually go under the radar. If anyone needs a character rep to study, Im here to give em to yll. Also hello Spyder ;). I see you have converted into a Sriks enjoyer too. I have also decided to add Seph into my secondaries now with my Corrin and Robin.

As a sephiroth main who keeps getting increasingly frustrated at top players ineptitude and seeming impossibility of understanding when it comes to the character, I appreciate sriks’ proficiency with the character actually reaching a respectable level. Sephiroth invalidates so many character’s game plans that he’s almost the perfect counterpick to every character as long as you can play your cards right. He has all the tools he could possibly need to deal with any situation, not to say he doesn’t have bad matchups, but he can deal with bad matchups more easily. Honestly sephiroth is the solution to the characters people are complaining about nowadays, and I just wish more people would give him an honest chance again.

While they may not be the strongest region, Sriks and his fellow top Australian players have proven that they're still strong competitors worth taking seriously. Ultimate is the most competitive Smash has ever been, and it's truly amazing to see how much top talent there is internationally!
