Hey everybody! First guide in a minute but I just HAD to make one for Sephiroth. I cut a bit of the more pointless edit and tried to keep it more focused, enjoy everyone! Drop any extra Sephiroth tips you got in the comments I’ll be hearting all of them!

Just a little tip that I found. It's a little situational but I've found that it works wonders for me. When your opponent is getting a little greedy on edge of the stage you can b-reverse your octaslash as your going up and send them the way your facing - towards the blast zone. Since it doesnt grab the ledge and because the hitbox is so big your opponent isnt going to expect it. Dunno if it helps but I just thought I'd share it

Nice video! These videos are the reason I started following you in the first place. One thing to note, both scintilla and Octaslash send you into fastfall in the air. You’d need to make sure you have a jump after scintilla as to not SD because Octaslash won’t reach and that will kill you.

Just thought I'd mention since I play doubles a lot, but the Shadowflare also hurts any other character besides Sephiroth that gets too close to the character that got tagged. It's legit a really obnoxious detail to deal with if you're fighting against a team that has Sephiroth.

Nice guide man, also, using up air or fair to keep an oponnent away and get some breathing room when you're hanging from the ledge is a very safe and useful option to use

How do you actually do the thing where sephiroth does his wall cling where he sticks his sword in the map

@@miajoseph3361 Input Forward Air when you're facing the stage, if you're close enough, you'll cling to the wall. You can do this a max of 3 times before landing on stage.

Octoslash should be used sparely while on stage, since it has great end lag if the opponent shield's it you're pretty much guaranteed to get hit by a smash attack during the end lag

In my opinion, Sephiroth's worst stage is Lylat especially since he can't break shields of cornered from neutral getup opponents as effectively due to the slant on each side.

for jab locks. I normaly try to keep the combo going with a down tilt and the a nair or a up air but that is just my preferance

Do you tend to play more passive or aggressive? Joker would be better if you play aggressively. Sephiroth if you tend to be more passive/reactionary. Would you rather have combos or kill power? Joker has an insane amount of combos but usually has to rely on Arsene for kills. Sephiroth has very few combos, but hits rather hard, and kills very early even without One-Wing. How important is range? Joker has little to no range but has insane speed to make up for it. Sephiroth has the longest *melee* range in the game, but most of his moves are rather slow, proper spacing is key to not get punished after every move you use. How important is speed? Joker is one of the fastest characters in the game, while Sephiroth is close to the exact opposite. Sephiroth's overall mobility does get faster with his One-Wing, but nowhere close to Joker's speed.

Change controller settings change c stick smash to tilt and it’s literally a game changer since you can up do any move on command
