Yes, generally I would agree with "most" devices until 12/13. I didn't get a phone until I was 16 (I'm nineteen now, so that was three years ago), and my first device like that was an iPad at 12, which I didn't really discover the internet until I was 13 or so. (basically a kind of long useless stuff ahead, not important, goes more in depth of my childhood experiences) Before then, my devices usage and experience was, the original Xbox (only a few games on it), Minecraft on the Xbox 360, my DSi and the games I had on it (for you to imagine what games, I wasn't allowed to play Pokémon) and the Wii. Towards the end I did get to play on a tablet. (I also played Purple Place, that one Wild Kratts game and Webkinz on a family computer, but it was gotten rid of when I was ~10) I never played an online game (unless you count playing by myself on Minecraft or playing with family on the DSi) until I was 12-13. I had a very fun childhood, the only reason why I would consider my childhood bad is because I was the second youngest (youngest is my twin) of 8, and kind of got ignored. But man, the fond memories of coming home from second grade, and running upstairs to play Battle Front II on the Xbox, which is why I would say consoles, especially if they aren't able to get online through it, is fine for a kid. But phones and stuff like that are unnecessary and possibly harmful for development. I remember being 12 or 13, on Roblox or other online games and being weirded out by other people trying to roll play sex acts, or finding it funny/awkward that complete strangers would try and roll play sex acts with me (this was on Roblox, which is why I am a firm believer that Roblox isn't safe for children, they can play, sure, but with parental guidance).

Being as insufferable as possible is a strong gimmick where people can't seem to stop and listen then collectively hate on them giving them the attention and relevancy of sticking around for people to hate them and wait for their down fall via karma.
