This series is probably my favorite TFT content on youtube ATM. Your insight and explanations provide such valuable advice and tips when it comes to the game that I can no apply myself. Hearing someone break down a game from start to finish over what was done correctly/incorrectly and what they would have done/not done just shows how important one decision can be in the difference of first and eif. Thanks frodan

I admire how Soju actually play the game, not just play the meta. love the style.

At around 17:30 he does something semi-interesting, where he pulls the Rell from the orb on the ground. If I'm understanding this correctly, it's because there's a guaranteed hero augment, and if he gets something like the Asol stun augment, or Twisted Fate, he wants to be able to 2* the Rell by buying something from the shop, without having to lower his odds for the TF/Asol from the shop. It's a really small optimization, and didn't end up mattering, but it's still interesting that he was thinking about that.

Interesting theory! My best guess would be that Soju was prepared to roll down and thus wanted to do actions that would cut into his roll time. I believe if he hit the Asol augment, he would have rolled down considerably to hit Asol 2* at that spot. And if there was an instance where the 3rd Rell appears in the shop, he doesn't want to spend time walking clumsily over to the orb to 2* it. But he didn't and therefore adjusted his gameplan to simply push for level 8. Very interesting adaptation choices!

Great video, always love your work. Maybe one of the things you could have covered would be considering staying 8 and rolling for the garen/mf3 out, sometimes when top 4 is already secured it’s good to consider that option as well

Defenders are so much better than people give them credit for. Even if the person you are going against is full AP they still do a reasonable amount of AD with auto attacks. Reducing that means your tank lives longer (duh). By running defenders though you have tank units with a lot of inherent armor so you can prio MR which makes them very well rounded. Tons of Aegis is great against AP comps but they do get lit up against AD comps where Defenders with MR are more balanced.

isnt playing draven over sona on 4-1 such a massive blunder? like its like slightly weaker for better odds on tf augment no?

I mean ok it seems to be "bad" that u have a average place at 6. But honestly most of us wouldnt have an average 4 in high master. So actually average 6 can happen sometime especially if u play with the best of the best.
@FrodanTV Жыл бұрын
Agreed, even "only" averaging a 4.5 (and thus not gaining LP) in Challenger is impressive in my opinion. And soju can still easily turn it on and average a 3.5+ whenever he wants.
@maxhillmann362 Жыл бұрын
@@FrodanTV Nice to see an answer from me its nice that u care about the community. But yeah i would say all ranks to dia 1 is kinda "easy to have good average but after that its actually insane impressive.
