Interesting comparison. I know you don't have every bike at your disposal but I think a lot of potential Beta owners would like to see how they compare to the KTM and Sherco bikes.

For those of us that have to navigate super-tight switchbacks in high mountain trail with massive exposure, turning radius is a huge deal. I dented the radiators in my 200 and removed the lock nut. Works perfect.

I just dented my 2022 race edition 300 radiators in using a socket with rag wrapped around it. I also shaved the clamp bolt and Bullet Proof designs rad gaurds to prevent hitting. The jam nut was removed the bolt was shortened because the threads in frame get tough the deeper you go. I ran thin brass washer behind steering stop bolt and she turns alot better.The brass washer was just enough to keep the left fork off the plastic/ gas tank cap & radiator overflow hose etc.

I have a 2021 500 and I've not really had any radius issues, but I also don't go after super tight stuff.

Thanks for doing this Jared…I’m surprised a bit as well with the 4 stroke result. It would be interesting (at least to me…lol) to see if the new radiator design will fit the 2023 RS models and if so, how much tighter it would allow them to turn… Have a Merry Christmas!

Thanks for this, interesting test. I wasn't a bit surprised about the wide radius of the 125. Wife rode a 2018 Beta 125RR-S for awhile, worst turning radius bike I've ever owned, but I had a Rev3 so I'm a bit spoiled. Curious also as to the raduis measurement of that XT as I would like to compare to my 520RS. Merry Christmas.

Luv your bike reviews, what about head stem geometry ? enduro bikes usually run a 22 degree offset, MX usually 20 degrees, this alters the turning circle greatly, be good to know what head-stem setting each bike runs. ??

Who leaves the steering stops on? First thing I do is adjust or even grind off just to where the fork kisses the radiator. And when on the bike you are usually leaned into the corner but this does give a good comparison between bikes and I am amazed!

On the pre-24 betas you had to or you’d hit the radiators.

I wonder how much the position of the rear wheel (wheelbase, for example due to a different adjustet chain) is affecting the turning radius. I also think beta is usind different swingarms with different lenghts. Or maybe the pisition of the forks in the triple clamps. These thinks also should make a different on turning radius.

Hey, yea rear wheel chain adjust would make a difference, I think these are really close tho. Also, I’m 98% sure all do these Betas share the same exact swing arm. I would have to pull part numbers to confirm. Just thought a quick video would entertaining . Enjoy The Ride, Jared

On the 125/200 frame someone at Beta must have forgotten to screw the stop all the way in. On my 2023 200RR it was backed to the jam nut.

Hi guys ! ... very good demostration but don't forghet that ... every rider can customize and setup the bike how he want... even this turning rate can be modifing with few things. That bikes came from factory with some settings/// but they are not irreplaceable. So ...1. if you remove all the screw from frame near steering. 2.you can lower the front height by moving upp the fork tubes 3. if you move the rear axle forward so you will have smaller distance between the axels .

@@3SeasRecreation the measurement to the closest mark would be fine. We should be able to handle simple math. You probably could figure out where the start point and closest measurement was.

Great info, nice to see the new Beta is on par with the Japanese bikes.Im having hard time deciding if I should get the 2024 beta 300 RE or the whole new 2024 husky te300..Can Anyone shout out if you had tested back to back KYB vs WP xact..?

@3SeasRecreation I wonder if the neck rack is the same on all the frames. Being both a dirt bike guy and a custom chopper guy, neck rack is a pretty big deal.

Yea there are probably 20 different things that affect this. I just thought a quick video on brand new out of the showroom bikes would be a good starting point. I do think the rake is very similar if not identical on all of these bikes (except the jap bikes). But they give to official data on the rake. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

I stated on yesterday's video about the wheels being "blue" on the RX 300 race edition & "Red" on the RR 300 race edition, The very RX bike on this video has the "Blue" wheels not the stickers the RR model should have "Red" wheels

If you got a base model 2024 300rr just remove the washer behind the bolt and then run the bolt all the way in and your good. Not sure why they did that but it's no diffrent than the race edition. Frame may make a diffrence but I d love to see the 300 re and base model done again with this mod.

LOL, the Japanese bikes didn't need an adjuster because they actually scienced it out and they were in the tightest of all of them!

@3SeasRecreation For those unfamiliar with Betas, on the '24's with the modified radiator that facilitates a tighter turning radius, remove the jam nut on the standard editions and the turning radius will be the same as the race edition that you tested. Why the standard edition still has a jam nut, I don't know. Also its worth pointing out that I've never seen two jam nuts properly adjusted, which is easy to do. Its a little unfair to test without proper adjustment.

Hey, well for the hundreds of Betas that I have sold I would consider “standard setting” to be jam nut tight against the bolt and screwed all the way in. Think of it more as a spacer. That is how every bike in this video was so I’m being accurate based on them all being the same. The 125/200 it is out further due to that bikes frame design. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

@@3SeasRecreation I remove the jam nut and use washers to properly space for the most available turning radius. And isnt the standard and race frame and triple clamp exactly the same? Why would the Race not have a jam nut and the standard does have a jam nut? Edited to add: Just looked up part numbers. Checked 2022, 2023, 2024. In '22 and '23 the frame, triple clamp, and radiators have common part numbers between standard and race. In 2024 the race has a new frame part number and the standard still has the old part number. The triple clamp and radiator part numbers have changed in 2024 and both the race and standard use the same. So now the question is what changed on the 2024 race frame. Enquiring minds want to know.

@@csmith7693 I think because of the fourstrokes. The 24 RR 4T have a different frame than the 24 RE 4T. The RR has the regulator mountet as on the old models so these (unfortunately) dont have a smaller turning radius cuz the forks would hit the regulator when turning left. On the RE frame the regulator is mounted different so they can use the full steering lock. So thats my assumption. They just decided to leave the nut on the RR but removed it on the RE. I think on MY25 they completely get rid of the nuts on the RRs and REs.

The faster u walk the bike the more the radius will be...u drive a truck youd know this so comparisons are invalid

Cool, story... I think there are about 700 variables that can affect the outcome of this test. Unfortunately, I don't have a full test lab & this was done at 8am on a Sunday morning with my son in our dealerships the parking lot. I am pretty sure viewers can get the point that the new bike turns better... Enjoy The Ride, Jared
