Title Fight is one of the most beloved bands in the scene. Their mix of Pop punk, Punk Rock, Hardcore, Emo and Shoegaze gave them a massive following. Title Fight are known for their albums The Last Thing You Forget, Shed, Floral Green and Hyperview. They are know for their songs Safe in your skin, head in the ceiling fan, in between, where am I, shed, 27, Secret Society and more. Will they ever come back? Let’s talk about it.
Never Normal is where I talk about Emo, Punk, Pop Punk, Ska, Metal, Rock music and everything under the Alternative music genre. I talk about bands like Rites of Spring, American Football, Blink 182, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Paramore to Modern Baseball, Title Fight, Touche Amore, Joyce Manor, Hot Mulligan and festivals like When We Were Young and Riot Fest.

"Numb, but I still feel it" is one of the best opening tracks to any album of all time. I'll die on this hill.

thank you sm for making this! One of my favorite bands ever. Its inspiring to see how sincere and passionate they were with their music and how sincere they seemed in interviews. I met Ned recently cause of Glitterer touring and even though I was way too nervous to say alot he still treated me with respect. They all seem like such genuine people.

I had the pleasure of seeing Title Fight only once, a little over a month after they released The Last Thing You Forget. It was the day before Halloween, and they were opening for New Found Glory. At the time, I don't think anyone anticipated how big they would become or how relevant they would remain so many years later. Although I wasn't as into them as some of my friends, I still remember that show vividly. It definitely ranks in my top ten favorite shows of all time. As for Glitterer, I think "power pop" is the term you're looking for. To preface this, I'm not trying to be difficult or argue semantics, but I genuinely don't understand how Hum's earlier records get categorized as shoegaze. Electra 2000 is like Helmet's Meantime with catchier riffs and nerdier vocals. I would argue that Downward is Heavenward has more of that shoegaze washiness than You'd Prefer an Astronaut, and Inlet is probably the most shoegaze thing they've done. It's a bit pedantic, but I'm interested in hearing other takes on it.

I feel like Title Fight didn't go shoegaze ENOUGH on hyperview, that's why it's boring. Not really many in your face swelling moments that push the emotion over the edge. Even bands that influenced them did the style properly, it's just a botched shoegaze record sadly.
