How to remove a fuel tank and replace a fuel pump in a RWD 1980’s Cadillac Brougham. This pump still functions but is weak and won’t hold pressure.

Interesting video and educational. I would have tested the new pump before putting everything back together, just play it safe. Maybe you did that and didn't show it. I don't know, but that's the only thing I noticed I would have done differently. Really nice to have a lift and the jack to hold the tank up, plus a third man to help out a bit.

This issue you've been having with the fuel pump reminds me of my first car, which I think had the same problem. I had a '92 Lumina and it stalled whenever I came to a stop. I just assumed it was because the car had well over 220,000 miles on it, but it never occurred to me that it could've been the fuel pump. If it'd gotten it fixed, I might've had that car for longer than I did.

My mother had a 1985 Fleetwood Brougham DeElegamce. I remember that car gave my mom plenty of trouble. The first day she bought it, the car keep stalling out after driving it 5 miles. The tranny gave out at 56000 miles. I remember the car was a nightmare.

With my grand marquis the air bags deflated everytime you turned the engine off. And would air back up when the car was started. Make sure it'd not just that.
