Umm I want to upgrade my audio can upgrading the stock speaker be enough I just want a little more Clarity when maxed out. Maybe later on I can do a full system upgrade with amp and sub.what do you think is it worth it?

do you need to disable ANC if you are just replacing speakers. ( i will not be getting a subwoofer)

There is no need to disable ANC if you don't add another AMP.

Have you removed the back side panel in the cargo area of the 2017 CR-V? I can get part of it off but wonder if I just keep pulling the panel off? Thanks.

Nope. My parents are driving my car now as I bought it for them and since they live for away, I don't have access to the car. I'll visit them next month, will see if I can pull the panel off.

Can i take the speaker out and splice into the speaker leads to hook up an amp?

Trevor Brent I don't know if you can do that, but you can route the wire to Line out converter

great video man. was really helpful for doing my own speakers on my crv. question - on your thread you mentioned you put component speakers in the rear as well as the front, where did you mount the tweeter in the rear ? I have an LX so it has no factory tweeters on front or rear. for the front I figured I could mount the tweeter in the same place as the EX and touring model location, but was wondering where to do it in the rear

I don't have components in the rear, I used coaxial. I unplugged stock tweeter from the rear doors. At least in EX-L, you can pop rear tweeters out and replace it with something more decent. I imagine you can buy the panel for cheap from any Honda dealership or online part store. Let me know if you have any other question.

Because all cars I've owned, there's always coaxial in the rear. So I bought some of the audio parts before I even got the car thinking it would be the same. I was wrong. If I knew it before hand, I would get component for both front and rear.

Sound block doesn't work in a car, you need sound absorption.

I redid the whole thing a few months ago, funny enough. I used the soundproof material that has 3 layers. I don't know what it's called. I also replaced AMP because it died.

@@Cinoism yeah not sure either, but I saw that rubber like material. Not for that area. No luxury car uses that. When the objective is to reduce sound, only absorbing materials work. That rubber like is reflective, only to be used in contact with inner side of exterior panels. For example where the window glass stays when rolled down, but any place where is dry, you should always use something like 3m thinsulate. If possible, a good set of thick carpeting would do wonders too. Companies like dynamat did a lot of damage... Those materials are used in minimal quantities in luxury cars. Luxury cars use as much as they can or want 3m thinsulate like material and also block sound from entering with more exterior seals. For example, most regular cars don't have a rubber seal between front and rear door, right in the middle. If people would put a seal there, they will find sound reduction at lower speeds that no amount of dynamat can offer, just with that little chunk of seal in between both doors....
