Question. Are the chrome inserts removable? Hard to tell from the video. Meaning, could I pop out the chrome inserts, paint them black, then reinstall?

Yeah once you remove the trim pieces the chrome inserts will pop out but it would have to be done with the panels removed.

Nice job, but is there any reason why you didn't just plastic dip them instead of replacing them?

The passenger side of my Pathfinder got lightly sideswiped, and broke both of the plastic lower trim panels. It was significantly cheaper to buy the OEM dark chrome four piece set versus replace the two chrome pieces and then plastic dip them. Plus side, I now also don’t have to change out the dip every year and a half after it fades to an off gray color.

The ebay link is not correct. Only half of the molding is shiny while the logo is plastic. Did you notice that?

I’m not sure why the pictures are that way. I just verified and that is the same listing I purchased my kit from. Maybe the seller reused the listing and updated the product. Best bet is to just message the seller on eBay and ask.

Hey. Your rig looks like a platinum. Do you have any idea why the website says excludes platinum trim?

Because they want people to pay more for the bright chrome trim instead. I mentioned in the video though that yes I do have a platinum and the dark chrome fits perfectly.
