I bought a used 2023 Pathfinder platinum very similar to yours about 3 months ago and love the exterior/interior color scheme. Mine is completely blacked out including the rear bumper and rims. Nissan has some paint colors that I don’t like but the Baja sand color is the best and you don’t see many other Pathfinders that have it. I’ve been asked frequently about my make/model of my Pathfinder.

I thought so as well. Honestly I think it look better than the rock creek version. since the platinum grille didn’t have the alloy color rings at the top of the grill like the rock creek has.

Grill overlay looks awesome! I couldn't find a blackout 2024 so I am looking to de-crome the front grille and this seems like a cheaper option than replacing that front grille piece. I am also wanting to black out the back bumper.. I have an SL and I really wanted a rock creek with the black details but I wanted bench seats and rock creek sadly didn't come with bench seats. I tried calling the dealership to find out if the rock creek black bumper would fit my pathfinder SL but they had no answers for me. Do you have any suggestions?

I was looking at the rear bumper and aside from color and general styling they appear to be identical in regard to installation/ mounting. Dealers either don’t know what’s cross compatible or just don’t want you to buy a part that may be cheaper to replace one that isn’t. I replaced the lower door chrome trim with a complete set of dark chrome trim for 1/3 of the price. I have a video uploaded on that process as well.

Was there a reason you had to take the tabs out under the hood?

The very corners of the shroud were overlapping the grille. I removed them as a precaution so the shroud lifted enough to clear the top corners of the black shell and not cause it to misalign while installing.

Just got a 2024 SL, couldn’t find one with the blackout edition so I wanted to mod the front grill and lettering. I’m a little confused in the video did you just place the black out grill ontop of the chrome one? I’ve seen other videos where they removed the chrome grill and replaced it with the black grill

This is an overlay part meaning it goes over the original chrome area of the oem grille it is $130. In other videos, the removal of the grille is to replace it entirely with a whole new aftermarket one that has the chrome area molded black that’s around $200 or with an oem rock creek grille that’s around $400. When I did this the complete aftermarket replacement option didn’t exist yet. So I opted for the overlay vs the $400 rock creek grille. This overlay is a cheaper alternative to disassembling the front end to replace it with a more expensive part and have the original grille left laying around taking up space. I can’t vouch for the fitment of the aftermarket full replacement, but can say that since putting this overlay on, it hasn’t moved at all and is still looking perfect.

Just got a white plantinum a few days ago! How did you dip the lower door mildings? Did you just tape around the chrom and sprayed it?

You tape about an inch from the chrome and spray it nice and even overlapping passes. Spray the entire area between the tape with about 3-4 coats so it peels off the plastic easy. Otherwise you can also buy the dark chrome trim off eBay. I will be posting that video in a day or so!

@Foxcraze yea I seen that piece. It's like $300. I'm def going to do the front grille and badges. I see they have an overlay for the back badges. Not sure how good the fit is though

@riraider123 honestly I would plastic dip the letters with glossy dip and leave it at that. The newer glossy dip feels like actual plastic letters after it dries throughly.

Sweet! Make sure you inspect it well when it arrives look for any clear coat runs or small cracks. If you find anything, let the seller know with photos and they will send a new one with in 24hrs. My first one received had a small clear coat run and a minor crack in a non visible area and they replaced it no questions asked.

Definitely gonna do these mods. The dealerships charge like $500 for the black out edition emblems. Hey, does your front emblem badge has a little play? I was cleaning it the other day and I noticed it is not a tight fit like it has some 1cm play all around and wanted to know if this is normal or if I should just go to the dealer to get it replaced under warranty

Oh yeah man for sure. Blacking out the chrome completely changes the look of a car to me.
