@@dirttrackracingforlife7107 The way Hobbyworld-usa works is they list pretty much everything that isn't a standard easily sold color as "back ordered". Then at the end of the month he places a large bulk order of all the back ordered products as well as some standard stuff and has it shipped all at once. This is because the prices for shipping flammable paints from Europe to the U.S. is insane as there is a flat fee of like $60 or $70 to ship flammables on top of the standard weighted shipping costs. If you were to buy single bottles of paint from Zero direct that $10 bottle of paint would cost like $80 on every order. If he places a bulk order he pays that added fee once, then the weighted fee for the whole bulk order. It sucks but unless Zero decides to open a US production facility (not likely), any new US distributor is likely to do the same thing. (I have heard another company is looking to become a U.S. distributor soon. My results with Splash weren't great. I've heard nightmare stories about poor shipping / not shipping / customer service / not getting orders for 3 to 6 months from Gravity U.S. so I haven't tried them, nor have I tried scale finishes. I've gone back to Zero for my current build and got my order in about 2 to 3 weeks. I placed my order shortly before Matt placed his bulk order to zero.

@@zachmarkham84 Best of luck. Looking at the BBB's web page he has not turned his act around. He has a very very long history of not shipping, not responding to emails, if he does respond he sends a tracking number that doesn't go past "USPS is awaiting the package from the sender" because you can get a tracking number from USPS for free and not pay for anything until you actually ship. It looks like people are getting responses in a couple of months, which is better than before. I've read on forums of people not getting product for over a year. If you used paypal, and he doesn't ship you can file a dispute with paypal. I really like Gravity paints from Spain. I order from them and get my orders here in texas often in as little as 4 or 5 days.

How to clear coat without getting stuff/junk in the clear
@TheScalemodelingChannel5 жыл бұрын
Impossible
@michaelbroek15 жыл бұрын
Dust and particles can be a pain, I do everything I can to help eliminate them. Here’s my best practice for Gloss clears/paint. • Run your spray booth for a good 10-15 minutes prior to painting, close the door to your room if there is One. • Blow your model down prior to spraying, or/and use a tac cloth. • Use a dedicated Airbrush for clear coats, before spraying make sure it is clean, traces of metallic particles and dried paint WILL find there way into your clear or final paint layer! • Filter your paint/clear prior to pouring in the AB. • I use a fine mist spray water bottle to dampen down the inside hood of my spray booth and work surface. • Have bare arms and latex gloves when spraying. • Once you have mixed your paint, pour it straight into your AB, filtering as you do and cap the colour bowl off with your AB’s lid, any left over paint cover over with something non porous, never leave paint out in the open. • Prerpare a container to cover your model in between layers. I use Tupperware boxes, empty water/coke bottles etc.. cut in half. Have them next to your spraying area so you can cover them in seconds. • If you still get the odd bit in your paint, leave it to fully cure and then flat it back and go again. - When you are clearing, if you get bits in your initial layers you can use fine tweezers to pull them out, the following layers will cover over, never clear over them as they will be trapped and you’ll never sand them out as they’ll be too deep. If you get bits in the final layers, let it cure and then sand. This will definitely help 🤓
@wayedk10405 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKnTamSkiM-Ai5o I use some stuff they use in this video. It's quite overkill but even just the mildest ones help reduce the amount of dust a load. Also, the clear is self leveling so pull off dust you find in-between layers and after another coat it will be invisible
