Thank you! This is my first helmet and I was watching your video on sizing and tried using 3D builder and the size 4 head, but couldn't quite get the helmet to fit with enough confidence to risk printing it yet. I'm planning on scanning my head to scale it, but these printing tips are so useful!

@@mrtalalaa if it's at 100% scale you can lean it back then rotate it 45% diagonal and right click then hit center. It should fit. The one on the A1 in the video is at 102%

@@hitman2481 .16 optimal, and default settings. I paint on supports because I know what does and doesn't need to be supported. But the default angle should get you success most the time, sometimes will support too much wasting filament

What printer do you recommend between the Bambu A1 combo and the K1 Max, here in Quebec Canada there is a 400$ difference. I whant to print helmetsfor me and sell. Thank for sharing your tips. I curently have a anycubic chiron and mega 3 but never printed a helmets with them and i want something newer and better.

@SaturdayMorningProps that's what I thought, but when I painted them on, they looked like they were still floating. Your support settings are normal, snug and bed plate only correct? Think this just solved my issues. Going to find out this weekend.

I am trying to print this now and I just couldn't get the main piece to fit on my P1S. I had to size up mine to 110% to fit my head... I guess my head is just too big. I had to use your file where it splits the main piece into 2 pieces... now I need to sand the points that touch down flat and glue them I suppose?

@@vdblu77 yeah I think max that will fit is 102-103% on a bambu, honestly the bambus are so accurate you may not need to sand the connections. And the magnets should help hold the connections

@@SaturdayMorningProps Ok, I got it built at 110%. it Looks amazing! I installed magnets in all the spots but they dont hold together very well. Should I be gluing the mask together in a few extra spots? I was thinking Chin, top, back and left side/eye together, then the right eye/side together. Do you have any trial error and recommendations?

Hello, I printed this helmet a lot trying many variants, your video is very good and helps a lot, I want to tell you that one of the best ways that worked for me is to print it all in one piece with pla flex.. I found it super comfortable and easy to place and I saved the magnets, it is quite difficult and it was an impression of 77 hours but it turned out very well, you can try it, greetings, I am from Argentina, sorry if I don't understand something, I am using Google Translate
