it was already to late for that, we had cosigned for her and she did"nt have a job for long time and was not able to make the payments. That's why I was asking. I wished we had asked someone opinion before we did it. But she got a job now and it is all good. we learned from our mistake and will never do that again. lol. But let me ask you something else. My other daughter just bought a car on her own. And two weeks ago and it started acting funny the second day she drove and have been having problems every since. do have any advice legally we can take against him.

Lynn Jones OMG...That sucks. That happened to me once. Check the Lemon laws in your state regarding cars. I had 15 days to take it back in AZ. I was on Day 9 and I was able to take it back. The dealership kept making excuses and tried to drag it out the 16 days so that they could say I waited too late. I brought it back day 9 and FORCED the dealership to give my money back. They gave it to me but I had to force them. I was even going to stand in the middle of the dealership and raise hell and would've got the whole dealership's attention. They knew I was going to put them on blast...check your lemon laws and if you're in the time frame, print it out showing these are the laws as proof along with the proof of down payment and get her money back

If there's one thing I've learned, is, don't put your money in someone else's hands. Established banks, with CD's, and other safe options, but with low interest rates are fine, if you don't need liquidity. Otherwise, put your money in a savings and/or checking accouunt. It's better to have something than nothing.

I have to say this - it was Suze from whom I have gotten most of my fundamentals on finances some 10 years ago. Now, looking back, I realize that she was a bit too risk-averse on advising to invest in stocks, ETFs, and this should not have been the case. For younger able-bodied people, she should have encouraged us to take more risks - something I've learned in turn from Cramer. Investing in an SP Index will only guarantee you a 10% annual average return. Wish she could have spent more advising on equity investments outside retirement accounts, but I'm still young and I am still grateful nonetheless. I guess this is for the rest of you. Please invest in options trading, ETFs, individual stocks while you're still young because you can't do those anymore when you're at retirement age.
