Hunting from the ground is much different than hunting from the tree stand. When you stare eye level at an animal with laser sharp vision, you need to be able to move in the most indiscreet ways possible. Listen as David Holder from Raised Hunting provides tips on accessories for you Primos Double Bull Ground Blind this season.

I used this blind for deer hunting this season kzbin.infoUgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 and will use it again for turkey this coming April 19'. The only common sense thing I recommend is wear all black to cover your upper body considering the inside of the blind is black and dont open unnecessary windows to silhouette yourself. Other then that, spray some water proof spray on the seams and roof. Dont forget your comfy chair, happy hunting.

do what I did. when grandma passed away and I was cleaning out her house, I found the perfect ground blind chair in her bathroom. it was her aluminum and plastic shower chair. it has adjustable legs and a back rest. now when I sit in comfort in My deer blind I think a lot about grandma. thanks grandma I love you.

Great timing for this video. I've been through the same thing and I've sat on everything from camp stools to 5 gallon buckets. What I decided on was a good quality camp chair with a backrest and a 17 inches seat height. Working perfectly in my blind. Hope this helps

I'm 60 years old, and I never hunted with a bow until last year. I made so many rookie mistakes. I have a Sportmans Guide swivel hunting chair and I like it, but I wasn't comfortable taking a shot while sitting so I stood up, and my arrow glanced off one of the poles in the window of my hub blind. The other mistake was since I had hunted this property before and never seen a deer within range, I only brought one broadhead. I sat there for nearly two hours with deer sometimes walking right up to the window but I couldn't shoot for lack of a broadhead. I'm fixing to do a little practicing this morning and make sure that I have all I need and don't screw up. Wish me luck.

A comfortable chair is key to staying in the blind. If I’m setting up a blind for the entire season or it’s a permanent box blind the only way to go is an office chair. It the blInd has a wood floor I leave the wheels on. If it’s going in a pop up with dirt I take the wheels of and attach a piece of plywood in place of the wheels. It’s a pain the lug out to the woods but it allows me to be comfortable

If you are like me and setup your blinds and leave them all season, then an old office chair is perfect! I got one at my office building by the dumpster that didn't raise anymore. It's actually perfect height for my blind. It swivels and tilts, makes no noises at all, and has adjustable arm heights and widths. I left the wheels on it and haven't had any trouble at all. This one is all mesh material too so it doesn't hold water from wind driven rain either and has less chance for odors. I've sat in mine from dark to dark! Trust me, you won't regret it!

I take a folding shovel with me and dig out for each leg of my chair to get the perfect height and get the chair level. I hunt in the Georgia mountains and rarely ever setup on level ground.

Like another guy mentioned, get a Millenium G100 blind chair. Adjustable, good on uneven ground, quiet and light. It has a back rest so its way more comfortable than a 5 gallon bucket. They're pricey but not amortized over the decades of use you'll get out of it. I'm too old not to have awesome stuff!

I am 66 and a big man, 6'2 and 300 lbs. I found if I use my large dog house, I have to use a small chair or box and after a hour or so my knees are hurting. So I bought a 5x5 pull out, pop up tent, with higher windows. I tried folding chairs, but the make too much noise, and hard to get up when nature calls. So I just toke a lawn chair, non folding with no arms. I made little inserts with 2x2 medal feet and glue them into the bottom of each leg. It is a little awkward to caring to the blind, but it is quite, and I can sit all day or take a little nap, and I am really concealed, and it is great to be able to lean back and not sink into the ground.

I use a folding/adjustable tripod chair. It has a 360 deg. swivel seat and independently adjustable legs. the adjustable legs are great for uneven ground (which is great for me because i don't sit on flat farm ground), the height is adjustable from about 10-18 inches. the one thing most might find as a con is that it does not have a back rest on the seat. i found this to be a plus since i shoot a bow and i don't have any issues with any part of my body bumping a back rest while i draw and hold. it was about 20 bucks a hand full of years ago but it works great.

Something that few people speak about in their reviews is the need to answer Nature's call... I will be 71 years old this 2019 deer season and hunt from ground blinds in Oklahoma. The older I get, the smaller my tank gets so my blind equipment always includes a jug to pee in. I also have a portable poop'n stool that fits over a 5 gallon bucket lined with a trash bag, kitty litter and tight fitting lid. Of course these items then need to be generously sprayed with a good quality scent killer and a shot of doe urine just for good measure. A pack of sanitizing hand wipes is the finishing touch.

I have a similar problem with my Primos double wide x large door blind. The windows are too low. I also use the Huntmore chair and although it is adjustable, I cannot see out the windows. I put 4x4 chunks under each leg of the tent and it raises it up just right. Of course my tent is in a permanent position.

if you get a benchmaster ground blind chair and take the tri-pod legs off and put that plastic kitcher stool or step on it with a hole in the middle and a couple of metal plates with holes in the middle you can use that cause the chair seat has a gun rest or crossbow rest on it.

"hunt more" chairs out of michigan are the ticket. I'm 52 and like my back rest when needed. It is silent and each leg is adjustable for uneven terrain. It's lite and mobile. It also swivels which I like. Another option if terrain allows is to dig your floor down which I'll do if the ground allows and you don't have or don't want to change chairs.

I just bought my first ground blind (field and Stream Magnum) and every blind there, the windows look to all be the same height...to accommodate a typical camp chair. I'm 5'11" and a typical camp chair puts me eye level with the middle of my windows. As far as being on a hill....why? I'd either be at the top making sure the blind isn't sky lined or in a tree stand of some type, probably a climber type.

Another option is to raise the blind a few inches on blocks. Most blinds have a 6" skirt or so on the bottom that will still keep scent contained within the blind. If you like staking the blind, use longer stakes, pounded in at a sharper angle. That way you don't have to pull the edge of the blind all the way down. The problem I have with shorter chairs is it's not very comfortable for me to sit with my knees higher than my hips. By raising the blind I can sit on a taller chair and still have decent visibility\shooting options.
