Can you do a video on medical conditions that might disqualify people from joining and the age limit? I'm 38 and already working in psych with my ADN. I just started an RN-> BSN program. Would I be able to work in psych after getting my BSN?

Nursing candidates in the Air Force must be U.S. citizens between 18 and 48 years old. They may receive a waiver for the upper age limit, depending on the specialty they choose. These nursing professionals also must meet all physical requirements for serving in the Air Force. Take a look at this but it Is best you speak with your local recruiter. Happy to help. I didn’t have to do a critical interview but when I went into flight nursing I did have to interview with a Chief nurse. I assume it will be the same if you go the critical care route.

Appx what rank is the chief nurse? The reason I ask is "chief" in some branches is NCO. Is it just one person, or a team of nurse professionals, with the chief leading the questions.

The Chief Nurse is usually a Lt Col (0-5) or a Col (0-6). It is usually just the one individual interviewing the applicant. Hope this helps. :)

Unfortunately you can not. If you are a single parent you will have to have a family care plan. This will cover where your children will go if deployment occurs. If you have a spouce it will fall onto your spouses responsibilities. Hope this helps.

Hello Ms.Angel, I saw that you got off Instagram and I wanted to ask if I can enter the Air Force with my pre-nursing degree and finish up my other two years in the Air Force to get my bachelors. I also wanted to ask if you had to go through BMT?

Hi! Yes I did get off insta for the near future. So you can enlist and finish your degree on your own time while enlisted and then attempt to commission there after. It’s not a straight and narrow road this but doable. I personally would finish my degree then try to commission after as an officer. I didn’t have to go to BMT. I went to commissioned officer training (COT) instead. Good luck to you!

Hey! I don’t know much about the reserves but can maybe have one of my reserve nurse friends come on my channel to do a video. They are looking for all specialties! ICU, ER, OR, medsurg etc. contact your local recruiter for more up to date guidance.

Yes there is a chance if the interviewer doesn’t think the candidate is a good fit for the Air Force. I mean there is a chance with any job interview of not getting selected for the job but just prepare and you will be just fine! Good luck.

Deployment in the reserves (to my knowledge) is on a volunteer basis. I can’t speak on how often the opportunities pop up though. I’m gonna try and get a reserves Q&A video out soon.

I think it is just one weekend a month and two weeks a year. I recommend contacting your local reserve’s recruiter for specific and most up to date i information.
