I suggest you mention your undergraduate thesis (research project) and the outcome in that paragraph. That is your research experience and it is valid! Go further to discuss the research or publication he or she has that got you attracted to them and your interest in it. How your interest aligns. Also, dwell on the skills your work experience has exposed you to. The research that got you attracted might be related to your work experience. All you do is to convince him or her that you can be under his/her guidance. Some persons with no publication but with just undergraduate thesis were able to secure a research supervisor. All the best at what you do.

Thanks for this insight. What if the professors didnt request for a proposal? Because I contacted 6 professors after I saw their request on their pages, but there was no place any of them asked for a proposal. so only one of them replied a few hours later, telling me she was sorry because she no longer accepts PhD students because she has them filled up already. The remaining havent replied yet and it's been 5 days now that i wrote to them. secondly, what maximum time frame should a professor reply your mails, because i am getting worried since 5 days now?

you need to briefly explain what research you have done whether clinical research or internship. The goal is to make the prospective supervisor understand that you have done some research and possess research knowledge

Yes I am a dentist, who is now into drug discovery research. For MPH, you will need to have a minimum CGPA of 3/4 if you are thinking of schooling in Canada, and also, many schools will also require you to contact and secure a willing supervisor

For PhD, potential supervisors would love to see a publication, but given you have none, you will have to highlight your awards, project, and other things you bring to the table. What else do you have that you can speak to? highlight those in your email.
