@@annoravetz6697 What you mentioned- faith in Christ- is definitely the most important, but there's more. How often does a Christian allow the Holy Spirit to take control each day? Did the person walk in love? Was Grace and Mercy a priority? Those are important elements of spiritual too. Perfection is not the goal, but consistency.

I was constantly told you are to old but I did it for 2 and a half years on £200 a week while moving into my first house. Fast forward 10 years I wanted to learn management, I had some experience from the business I was in previously but very limited. You can’t do that they said. I did it. Within a year i was offered the contracts manager position. I have recently decided to start my own business again, left my job……. You can’t do that they said. It’s early stages but if I decide not to do what I wanted when I wanted I would be nowhere.

Hey Louis, how’s your Spanish coming along? I have a tip that helped me learn enough Spanish in a week to go door to door and do cable tv sales. I had 0% Spanish at the time. Instead of trying to right down and read the proper spellings, I wrote down the words the way they sounded to me, it was very easy to read what I wrote because I wrote it. Experiment with it and you’ll be amazed how fast that you will advance in speaking.

I'm more interested in the journey than in the attainment of any goal. Goal is the crown of a consumed and complete journey. We're humans not AI-robots. E.g1. When you learn a new skill in your workplace, the joy of exploring and learning the new skill is more enjoyable than the joy of achieving your reporting using the new skill. E.g2. Learning math is the same, understanding the process makes math more interesting than, finding a shortcut which you don't know how it works. E.g3. Playing chess, reapeting opening sequence without understanding the in-between traps isn't fun. Etc. So, process and journey are much more important than focusing only on results. How speed you get to the expected result is second or a consequence. The time you spent exploring, enjoying the processes is memorable and valuable. Valuable, because it's a reliable source of creativity and innovation.

Some criticisms: When he said those psychology statistics didn't help him he didn't specify of it was because he didn't try them, or because they didn't work, but he implies they weren't useful. It's possible he could've gotten better or similar results using them. 2) When he makes uses an example of his tools right after he uses what can be referred to repreprocity tendency or the tendency for Humans to reciprocate behavior +/-. He showed gratitude, that could've made the people more grateful and therefore like him more thereby making them biased leading to them wanting to work with him more. Also, of they say this is what I want to close a deal consistency and commitment tendency will kick In; all psychology phenomenon that he likely didn't know. 3) The 50% rule should be qualified; if all else is equal you should choose the most optimal thing to work on, but things aren't always equal and getting a success rate higher than average consistently over a long period of time will lead to above average results assuming losses are mitigated. 4) Developing skill in a field and having that degrade doesn't mean it's degraded significantly nor does it mean it has degraded severely relative to other people; chess is a competition and relearning things is faster than learning anew, so it shouldn't take years to get back to a relatively adequate level.
