Hi! My daughter got me your Future Self book for Christmas and I read it straight through, taking copious notes, and then gave it back to her to read for herself. She just e-mailed and said, "This book is fantastic." Well, it is. I've listened to the Future Self podcasts, which are great, but the book is just so much deeper and richer and more helpful. Yay!

Identifying the 20% to operate from your future self can feel like a daunting (but necessary) task. At first I was like, "Where do I start?" and "How do I know I'm making the right choices without any evidence?". Well, I think I found a framework that is extremely helpful. After imagining the big dream, don't go into planning mode but ask yourself "What would easy look like?". In other words, plant the seed in your mind, what would be the easiest way with the least amount of friction to achieve your 10x goal. I find that my mind starts weeding out the noise and begins looking for a simplified plan. And while it may not happen overnight, ideas start trickling in and soon the bigger picture becomes clearer. Hope this helps someone and thank you Dr. Hardy, my mindset has begun to change for the better because of your teachings!

At the beginning of the video, you said you'd share 7 principles, but I made note of 6, not sure what I missed. (In fairness, I'm watching this at 3am). The ones I write down are: 1) your input shapes your outlook. 2) think 10x bigger. 3) praying with faith. 4) going into monk mode. 5) visualising your future self. And 6) continuously give yourself space.

One of my favorites by Neville is ‘a change of feeling is a change of destiny’ Since I started your entrepreneur mindset teachings in July 2021, when I have a - joyful - enthusiasm - springtime like consciousness - I really perk up. I’ve had at least two, so that’s when my spiritual antenna goes up. It means spiritual growth - where the real work in thought and deliberate practice starts to sprout. It’s miracle nudging. What I wanted to share is that as my waking mind, as it gains clarity - reveals my subconscious self in my dreams. I have noticed that my subconscious self is way underdeveloped compared to my waking self. There are shackles I must break. So I have been meditating on releasing my inner ‘youthful Lion’ that is equipped with all the powers we have in childhood - unconditioned - omnipotence - omniscience - and freedom. And remember - there are no atheists in a foxhole. Wonderful video Ben - Happy New Year - - Will

I am thankful for... has changed my whole world. Instead of expecting God to be my "sugar daddy", thank God in advance for his blessings. We need to speak from our future selves in gratitude. EXAMPLE: Thank you God for helping me understand/accomplish this amazing goal. The story of Moses and his followers as they traveled to their promised land in the Bible reveals they were held back from MANY blessings because they were complainers and a stiff-necked people. In other words, they were ungrateful and unwilling to follow His direction. Turn your request, your ask, your begging into gratefulness for God's power to accomplish or provide "whatever is His will for you." It's in the quiet study of God's will for us and mindful actions that we change AND positively impact the world.

In 2015, I received a force to work with my first coach. At the time I couldn't explain it, but now, as I look back, I see that God directly sent me to her. Now, it is mu conscious intent to have God be the co-creator of my future self. I am 10X my work of two specific things for the month of January - while I am visiting my daughter in Arizona. Dr. Hardy, I would really like to see you comment on ADHD, especially as it might relate to some of your principles and assumptions about functioning/effectiveness. This is a very important interaction factor for selected people. Please consider commenting on it in a future video. Thanks for all you do!
@alexforget2 жыл бұрын
ADHD is a lack of dopamine, making you unmotivated to complete tasks. The first thing is to eliminate what strip your dopamine : social media, youtube, and mindless browsing. Be sure to sleep early, do exercise (cardio and muscle) eat omega-3, and have a low-inflammation diet. Then you can try cold showers and meditation. Or go completely offline for a weekend. Our biology didn’t change and human were not that much ADHD before, the conclusion is that it’s an environmental problem (we created it with our modern lifestyle) Basically, our modern world is full of stimulation and work is not as stimulating. Get really bored by doing nothing (meditation) and then the motivation and focus come back up.

What did you find most helpful?
@rise48112 жыл бұрын
Point 1 was very relevant as it's something I've already been thinking about. I waste a ton of time consuming low-level media that doesn't add anything to my life (and maybe even tears it down). It's something I really want to change this year, so it was great to have the this point reinforced, and to consider the radical, "Get rid of 80%." The other most helpful part was point 3. I am a Christian, and I don’t believe in compartmentalizing my spiritual life, but listening to you, I realized that that’s what I’ve been doing! I rarely pray about my goals, habits, progress tracking, etc. So hearing how you pray about everything was illuminating. I will definitely start praying about these things, too. Also, I am almost done with "Personality Isn't Permanent." It has been so helpful! Especially the exercises in "Shift Your Story". I had never experienced how much thinking differently about my past can help me think differently about my present and future. I felt the immediate change after doing those exercises. Thank you for all your content!

Dr. Hardy, could you please write a children's book? All ages would benefit but I am thinking particularly middle and high schoolers. I incorporate your content into the ways I raise my 9 year old.

I appreciate what you said about including God and asking Him for help. I'm going to do that more in my own life. ❤

Great video! So much info to take in! Would it be possible to summarize the key takeaways and list of books at the end or a time stamp in description box? That way I can always go back to review. 📚

I can't just desappear, my boss and family will not like it ))) So, I am trying to spend all my free time to care about my projects, learn more things, read books. Small steps. Maybe in 3 years I will achive my goals.

@@dr.benjaminhardy I am a programmer, so, I am trying to create my products to sell them on marketplaces. Right now I am finishing one wp plugin. I will try to sell it on the code canyon. Some of my plugins were rejected. So, I have sent them to free repository. Because it is still usfull and can help someone.
