Thank you so much Ted for making this video. Will try to implement it in Pianoteq. Every blessing, Chris

Regarding Virtual Technician in Kawai models, In system >user edit> stretch you have several user defined memories, user1, user2, etc. When you change the values for each note, you press the SAVE button and that is stored in the user defined memory, and is kept in the user memory at power off. However the user stretch settings are applied temporarily to the voices selected. If you want to apply the stretch settings and keep permanently bound to a particular sound or sample, select the sound, voice or sound, then select system> user edit> stretch select the desired user# memory and press STORE (or equivalent) then confirm Y/N. If the user memory has all keys at default 0 tune, this will restore whatever changes you made to the stretch of that particular sound, remember keeping at least one user stretch memory with all 0s. When you edit the properties of each sound, you can assign any stretch that is in the memory banks, that is set temporarily unless the user# stretch is STORED with that sound.

I didn't read that far into the manual; thank you for that!!

thanks, the offsets are relative to the Digital Piano original tuning, since applied offsets are relatively small, what happens if the default tuning is offset from the standard values? Should you also change each note's absolute pitch? in the GW tuning, A4 is 439.7, did you notice that when you hit C4, it's first harmonic sounds louder at the very beginning? The energy seems to be exchanged between both along the decaying waveform?.

Just a question, when you plot GW stretch values, x is semitones, y is stretch, you see a curve, if you add a polynomial fit or trendline, of order 3, you can see that most of values fit, but in the values for G6 (6), G#6 (7) and A6 (7), are off the curve, which shows 5.2, 5.8 and 6.5 respectively. The curve, which is named Railsback stretch curve, is smooth, while due to digital +-1 step restrictions, no fraction values can be set, there are several plateaus in the sections of smaller slope. I've stored GW's stretch and the closest to Railsback curve , I will try to "hear" the differences.

I've noticed using Audacity (4096 or 8192 pts) that default voices SK Concert Grand, EX Concert Grand and SK-5 Grand, at least, when playing C4, the 1st harmonic (C5) shows a more intense FFT peak than the actual C4, This happens in some of the notes within the same octave, not all. Did not test other octaves.

Would you post the offset frequencies please Ted

Check out the cheek block they are listed one by one. They are on the screen below each note played and listed, all 88 keys.
